I leave my house to go somewhere and take one route, but I have the urge to take a different route home. Even if I am not thinking about it I will come home a different way. My husband gets aggravated b/c I am wasting time or gas just to satisfy this weird urge....and I am not OCD, just with this driving situation...Does anyone do the same thing?

$170 is clearly not a lot of money, but if I could just save it up, it would be a start! My Mom, however, has been asking me for $50 out of every paycheck. Last week she needed an extra $38 which she said she'd pay back this week. It's now Thursday and she's just informed me that she will not be able to pay back the $38 and will, in fact, need an extra $100 tomorrow (pay-day).

When I protested, explaining that she's making it impossible for me to save anything substantial, she said, "Who's been paying for you all these years before you started working?" And I couldn't answer, because it's true, but...this doesn't seem entirely fair somehow. My friends are not financially tied down to their parents and they've gotten far more than me!

(My mom does pay for is my car insurance, though, and has been since I was 18. I paid for the car, but stupidly allowed it to be in her name.) But as for everything else: college scholarship, I pay for my own gas, food, etc. What should I do?

Hey, if you are a troll and/or a rude and obnoxious jerk I don't want to be bothered with you and you can expect me to block you..simple as that.

I have a friend who I thought I was getting close to, but...I think that he is a narcissist. I'm tempted to end the friendship because I wonder if it can never be "real", but little bits of his behavior gives me pause.

I have lightly jabbed at his ego and even though it clearly upsets him, he only pauses for a moment to pout then continues conversation as normal. He has told me outright that he lies often, and he has also admitted aloud to me that he only raises his hand in class when he thinks he's the only person who knows the answer. He appears to be self-aware and candid about things that might make him vulnerable, but he is still very egotistical.

I don't want to commit to getting to know him as a person and just find out that I've been used to feed his ego. But I'm reluctant to abandon him too because his personality is not his fault. Does anyone have any advice or wisdom about friendship with narcissists?

I've noticed for quite sometime that many of my local television news stations tend to have commercials that are meant to sensationalize or frighten you so that you will watch their broadcast. They use statements like "How your children could be kidnapped right now."
"Someone could be ripping you off right now."
"What your children are doing that could kill them right now."
Now these statements I wrote are made up but often I feel that its almost as if I am being bullied into watching a particular news broadcast and that my children's very lives could be lost if I didn't watch that news broadcast. Am I alone in my feelings about these inflammatory news commecials?

I read another ? about how 'he' kept having the same dreams dealing with fire. People said it could mean anger. Well I too have the same dreams, but with water. They differ each night. I have 1 where me and my dad are in a Jeep and we have to jump a lake but the bridge begins like a ramp. We speed up the ramp, but never make it to the other side. We miss it by a foot. Before we hit the water my dream changes. Only one time we made it. One time we landed in the middle of the water and were stranded. Another involves me in a ship, but it has a hull on the top and bottom and I'm inside. I'm riding through a storm really fast down giant waterfalls and constantly flipping over riding on both sides. The dream seems to never end until I wake up. Another also involves a bridge except I'm in the car with my mom. First, we drop down a straight road about 100 feet high and speed up a large bridge. It's also a ramp, but we never make it over the water. I have others, but those occur most often.

For psychology I need to bring a food for our personality food day. It has to reflect a part of who I am, whether it be ethnicity, ,a characteristic trait, or something that I like/dislike. I do not know what to do. I don't want to bring the typical brownies, cupcakes, or cookies. I like weird food and such. Ideas?

Basically can they be outsmarted as they are known to intimidate a judge if they are clever enough.
I was married to one and he has manipulated control of our children and I am devastated.
I don't think I need to detail his tendancies but the words utterly ruthless and controlling spring to mind.
