" Humor is chaos remembered in tranquillty"?

It makes no sense to me because when I'm in a state of tranquility, there is no chaos. So how can chaos be remembered in tranquility? That wouldn't be tranquility, for me anyway.

Chaos remembered in tranquility may be humorous.. but humor includes much more than just that.
