and If so how can you get them to?
Basically can they be outsmarted as they are known to intimidate a judge if they are clever enough.
I was married to one and he has manipulated control of our children and I am devastated.
I don't think I need to detail his tendancies but the words utterly ruthless and controlling spring to mind.

They see the harm that have done, and take pleasure in it. They have no ability to sympathize or empathize and receive satisfaction from their harmful misdeeds.

Most people do things because they DON'T see what they're doing, or they don't see how it makes others feel, or how it affects them.

To be totally honest, you should have thought about how manipulative and controlling he was before you married him and had kids. I'm sure the signs where there. But what's done is done.

All you can do is explain to him, show him, and detail the pain he's causing others around him. Then ask him to think about why he's single. Or why he can't keep a women. Because if he's as bad as you say, I'm sure he can't keep a women. Maybe then he'll start to see he's the problem.

unless you find a cure for their self-delusions there is NOTHING you can do. Sorry. As for you children.. if you can convince the judge this person is truly a psychopath then you can win them back, but (and I mean no offense by this) seeing as how I know NOTHING of the actual situation.. I have to also assume it could be you who has the problem? Again.. I mean no insult by this.. I just have no information other than your own (which is very limited)... bring it up with a lawyer and they will be able to tell you if you have a case against him or not.

The reasons that people are labelled 'Psychopaths' is that they are blind to the reality of the none-psychopathic world, and are (as things stand at present) impervious to the rational reasoning that the average run of the mill wo/man would run with.

Put it another way, 'they are wired differently' and reason differently.....

It is problematic to try and spell things out as there are so many variations on 'the theme.'.......

Ruthless & Controlling are two very useful words when trying to describe them.

Sash.

Labels like psychopath are bandied about too readily. Is this possibly just another case of two people in dispute over children? Men it seems find it more difficult to gain access rights to their kids and maybe they sometimes will adopt more desparate measures to have some control in often tragic situations.

They are incapable of thought in the way a normal person is. They are locked into a strange and fantastic world we cannot even begin to imagine. So I doubt very much they would want or feel the need to indulge in remorse even if they could recognise the emotion.

It seems not, because the definition of psychopath is that they are devoid of empathy and so cannot tell how another is feeling.

I hope that you meet some good people from now on.

The thing with psychopaths is..... they don`t know their psychopaths! They can`t see the harm they`ve done....and thats the awful part about it!
And the worse part is...they get away with it!

true psychopath can never see harm they have done as they cannot understand anyone Else's point of view and do not have the ability to empathise
