It's only been happening for .. what.. 5 or 6 thousand years? (How long ago where the pyramids erected in Egypt? though it wasn't JUST Jews that were slaves then).. and really.. 6 thousand years isn't that long.. maybe it is to us since we only live 70 years or so.. but it's a blink of an eye on the grand scale of things... we, as a race are still very young and have plenty of time to persecute other people in different ages o.O

The link you gave is for a catalog page selling clarinets. Anti-semitism is just another form of racism. The Jewish diaspora around the world are often viewed with suspicion by their new neighbors, and their success in business and other trades, partly because of their community "sticking together" often provokes envy. On the other hand, don't confuse the justified criticism of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands with anti-semitism. There is fault on both sides, but the Israelis have more power and therefore more responsibility and ability to change things for the better.

Good question.

People want an enemy and fear difference.

People and even religious people can assign world problems to groups that have clear differences. The act of compounded struggle can lead to ultimate elevation and hence perhaps (and I strongly say PERHAPS) explains why the semites are God's chosen people.

Just a thought though.
