I need to know what's the % of richness vs the % of poor people in Texas.

which pointed to:

which has a link to the Texas data, which has the income distribution data you'll want. (There is a federal "poverty line" and the Census Bureau data has it for Texas:
http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/48000.html) but there is no "wealthy line" so you have to decide one for yourself.)
