dreams?
I have herd that when you dream something/someone, it's because it's happend or it will happen. Maybe not excatly how you dreamt it, but similar. Is it true? I have known of people that say it has happend to them, but i don't know if it might just be coincidence or not.
What is your opinion?

I recently saw the movie idiocracy and it addressed a intresting cultural problem. Yeah I know, it was a crappy movie, but are we evolving into a species of idiots ? Intelectuals and proffesionals are having fewer and fewer children and the undereducated and underprivliged are passing their genes on at a normal rate. In a couple of hundred years will the average person be like a guest on the Jerry Springer show ?

I wonder whether we should allow people to give themselves up for some crimes and get a clean slate, on the basis that they pay some penance and risk huge punishment if they commit further crimes.

I think it is unhealthy for people to feel guilty all the time, or if not that, to feel like they have something hanging over them. Either thing surely cannot be good for recovery and return to productive life within 'normal' society?

when I was growing up I had a pleasing perspective with whom I was growing up, but come to know that that person had done the worse to some of my sisters.. you should know what I am talking about. I trusted this person with all of my heart. Now, that my sisters are grown up they have trouble with there sexual life, due to there terrible experience. I tried talking to this person, because I suffered too.. ALOT!!! I don't know how to help my sisters, I wish I could help them... but, I don't know what to do! I love them to death... and I do not know what to do .. I usually advice them, but those scars will be there forever. I have adviced them to seek professional help, but they think it is soooo embarrasing and humiliating.. they have kind of gotten it off there back by praying.. they, rely on God for many things.. I love them and I would never hurt them.. the way this person did... and he was a very important role in our lives.. what can I do?

My stepson is 14 and has severe ADHD. He has mood swings from being like an elementary school child using baby talk to a angry adolescent. When things don't work perfectly for him he feels like everyone is cheating him. He has medication to take but he has gotten rid of it and hides his pills. His school work is suffering and he has alienated himself to every one of his classmates and teachers. He is too old to be spanked and does not care about any punishment given. Now he says "why do I care about my grades", "maybe I don't want to pass the 8th grade". I love him to death but it seems he wants to do everything in his power to set himself up for failure. Positive reinforcement does not help and reverse psycology does not work either. Help!!

Eight years ago, when I was 11, my best friend died from carbon monoxide poisoning. I was devastated and haven't really recovered. It almost seems like her death has been hitting me harder lately and I don't know why. Is it because I am older and really understand the concept of death, or because I haven't been to her grave more than once since? I am also very guitly because before she died, we were not getting along. It became one of those stupid middle school fights and I was mean to her because of a different group of girls. Is there any way that I can ever get over this horrible feeling? anybody else have a similiar situation. I can't stand this feeling of regret anymore.......

I am reposting this is a separate place to see if I can get some differing responses. I posted it in polls and surveys for a quick overview, but am hoping this might generate some more thought out responses.

I don't mean the casual 'They're crazy' kind of statements. I mean, the legitimate fear that they were emotionally and psychologically unbalanced and that they might harm others, or lash out in unpredictable fashion. I work with someone like this, and I am really not sure how to proceed. I don't want to end up involved in a workplace shooting, or have some other traumatic incident occur without doing everything I can to help them, and to safeguard against their own issues. Any suggestions?

It seems that we need to again become active in the feminist movement in order to re-write the distorted "history" to the more appropriate "herstory." Along our path to liberation, we will take inspiration from the writings of Sappho and enjoy daily softball tournaments complete with trophies and a keg of beer to tap.

What say you, sisters?!
