Jerk? Yes, most of the time.
Superficial? your questions or answers for that matter are never really that "deep."
Maybe you are a Gemini? as they are not really deep BUT (this is where I compliment you tho we are officially opponents/enemies in the troll/feminists contests) they are a lot of fun and really good at turning a phrase or playing quick word games. Is this you? perhaps.
If you are the former HIS that was a great name for a troll in the women studies section as well as Pleased.

Notice, pleased, that feminists typically "be hating," especially if they are older individuals.
I'm not sure if that's just something that comes with age or is a product of the "60's generation" that most of them crawled out of.
Frankly, I could care less. I'm just looking for a little more civility on this board.
The answer? Probably not as much as you would think if you even consider the question. As for a way to test it, I'm not sure.
By the way, just because you are interested in physical appearances doesn't mean you are superficial. That is human, and since looks are the first thing you will notice about a person, they are obviously important. If those are all you care about, then you are probably superficial. If not, don't worry about it- normal people could be accused of some of the same things.
Of course, decency and CIVILITY are always great things to have, and nobody (at least nobody that would be a good friend) would ever insult you about such behavior or ridicule you. In fact, most people usually like compliments or gestures of courtesy. You REALLY have to watch out for the people that don't. (I.e., some crazy radical feminists that respond offensively if someone offers them a seat.)

You can give yourself your own 'test' ... do you only talk about things that 'don't matter' to anyone, and gossip about 'who and how' others 'get together' ... if so, you are 'superficial.' If you then 'back stab' people who think you are 'nice' then you are 'a jerk' ... also if you put 'fake questions' in Yahoo Answers to 'fish' for certain responses ... so I'd say that yes, you are a superficial jerk ... but at least you are a 'fun and humorous' one, so I suspect that there is a 'nice guy' in there somewhere.

If you think you are superficial, you probably are. Most people are a little superficial but they're full of bologna and say they're not. Rather than take a test, try to change your ways of thinking to be less superficial.

Yes, there's a test. Answer the following questions:
1. Do looks matter more than brains?
2. Would you rather date someone thin and mean or heavy and sweet natured?
3. Would you wear shoes that pinched (but looked good) or fit comfortably (but not so nice to look at)?
If you answer yes to these questions, you're totally superficial and don't call me. I'm smart, fat, sweet, and wear comfortable shoes.

Try going to celebrity websites like Perez and DListed. If you find yourself nodding in agreement, you are superficial. If you still find them funny but recognize their ridiculousness, you're a-okay.
I think I'm somewhere in between...

Ask ten people who are close to you if they think you are superficial. you know if you are jerk. Look at your behavior. You probably are not one bc superficial people would never dream they are jerks
