Most dreams are in color, although people may not be aware of it, either because they have difficulty remembering their dreams or because color is such a natural part of visual experience. People who are very aware of color while awake probably notice color more often in their dreams.
also if you dream in black and white it usually refers to activities in and around you that you fail to be aware of

When you dream in black and white it means that whatever message is being conveyed to you in the dream there is no compromise. You are either on one side of the other. You are either in or out. It means there is no miss understanding or gray areas where you can straddle the fence. It's stating clearly that there is a line draw regarding certain circumstances in your life which can not be confused.

Some people say that most dreams are in color, but as we wake up and the dream begins to fade, we start to think the dream was in black and white.
Bob Hoss, the author of a book called Dream Language, states, "Research in the sleep lab has shown that most of our dreams are in color (70% to 83%), and that it is a matter of recall that results in such a low report of dream color, just as it is a matter of recall that we remember so few of our dreams which occupy about 25% of our sleep time at night."

I've never heard of that. All my dreams are in vivid color, and so are the dreams of everyone I am close enough with to talk about our dreams.
In fact, some of the colors I have seen in my dreams are far more vivid and beautiful than any I have seen in real life.
I know some people say nobody dreams in color, but it's not true. It's just a myth.
