"Though Discriminative in Nature, Affirmative action is the democratic way to address social inequalities"....

This is the topic for my school debate...I am supposed to argue 'for'....

Frankly I have no idea what it means..in the sense what context it should be elaborated...

If it helps it is supposed to be mainly supported by Indian examples, others would also be appreciated..

in myother quesiton isay how much i cannot stand playing games.
i am very direct with guys i like and i am not afrad to tell someone i had a great time and pretty mcuh i just do not play mindgames or those dating games.....

i was wondering though, should i anticipate to keep meeting people who like playing games as i get older?
does this go away as people get more mature or does it persist?
i'd like to think that the more mature you get the less you waste time with this kind of thing, but i wouldn't know.

can someone tell me, someone with wisdom perhaps, whthere i should start getting in the habit of playing games or if ipeople don't do it anymore

are mindgames/game-playing a sign of immaturity ? or are they mutually exclusive??

I have to write 5 one page essays. There are 9 options I have to pick 5 and write about them, but not just write but have to find a relavent article which I have to analyse. I have to answer these questions in my essay:
1. What basic points or point is the article explaning?
2. If what the article says is true, what impact will it have on the macro economy in general? Or on the specific area you are reading?
The 9 Topic categoreies from which I have to pick 5 are:
1. Economic Theory and Methodology
2. Circular Flow Model
3. Supply and Demand
4. Price System
5. Command / Capitalism Conversions
6. GDP and Economic Growth
7. Unemployment
8. Economic policy
9. Money and Banking.

I guess what I am asking is if you can pick one topic and find me an article and breiefly answer the two questions. Even if you do not wish to answer the two questions so that it will be easier for me to write my essays can you atleast find me an article. Your help is Greatly appreciated and thank u

I learned in college that they cost as much as 30% more to raise than sons and a poll in my Psych textbook said that in a pool of 2000 parent couples of adult children prefered sons at 89% ! ! ! Statistically that is HUGE, more than a landslide. Having a daughter also increases chance for divorce. Daughters can get pregnant and are extremely emotional, too much DRAMA !
Maybe this explains why doweries are so common in other countries. Sons bring wealth, girls take it!

Okay .. please don't say feminism, or abuse or abortion or anything typical like that. It would be really easy to just pick one of those obvious topics and right a research paper about. I'm trying to figure out something that is not as common and that you don't hear about all the time, but is still interesting and I will be able to find enough information on it to write a 10 page paper. I'm really stumped and have been rackin my brain and trying to look something up for weeks. Does anyone have any good ideas about what I could pick to do my paper on that my professor will be impressed with and the other students will not be bored to death when I present it?

The two of you are as different as night and day. You love your parent, but you don't get along and you have had a very contentious relationship with them for many years, and always end up in the same place: In a heated argument. You learn that your parent has held a grudge against you for something that happened 25 years ago. I say it takes two to tango, but she wants to put you on a guilt trip and blame the outcome on you. How would you deal with this? You've confronted her in the past and asked her if she held a grudge and she denied it, but the truth is she has held a grudge all these years. I feel like this person is no good for me emotionally or psychologically.
