No words are useless. Each one we've got describe our feelings, our impressions, our "everythings". We still don't have enough. Which is why we use words like, "loser" and "moron", because we can't communicate things are precise and accurately as we want, as we know, and as we understand them in our mind.

the biggest useless word in my book is "like"
just like how you used it.

like if we call someone a loser.......

like if we call? well, did we or didn't we? there's no like about it.
its not being like something else and its not a question if we like it or not.

like is used too many times a day by modern society and it is used incorrectly

or how about...... "this is like the coolest question ever"......
does that mean it hasn't quite made the grade yet and is only trying to be like a cool question and is just failing miserably and taking second place instead?

See, if you look closely at the way we use "like" then you can see where it starts to cause confusion and I think things that cause confusion are kinda like............useless.

with your reasoning ANY word can be useless.. depending on the perspective it is viewed from.. you cant remove perspective from what you say anyways.. so, in my perspective, this is a USELESS question.. good job..

My { and I can't say it's useless--better than cursing } is:

"Well Shucks"

Could be a "southern" slang,
since I am in the south

its a matter of perspective like you said. One man's mean is another man's posion.

We use negative words to describe our posion and positive ones to describe our meat

It is very common for people to speak automatically without considering what what they say may mean or do to the listener.

I do this more than I should. I think we all tend to have a little bit of a judgemental preconception of people and blurt out things we shouldn't. You've just reminded me to be more cautious with my words. Thanks.
