You can't change other people's behavior. In the past I have tried and it's just like talking to a brick wall. It accomplishes nothing.

You can't 'change' someone else's behavior because only the person can change his/her behavior ... but you can 'influence' them to change their behavior if you know a few 'tricks' ... which I do know, because I'm a psychologist. I've used the 'tricks' with some patients during counseling, but other than that I wouldn't want to use the 'tricks' ... and I don't think that anyone should ever 'try' to use them ... we are all INDIVIDUALS and 'to each his own' ... so even when I used the 'tricks' I told the person I was doing that before I used them, and they 'agreed' to let me do that to 'help them improve' their lives. Other than that, NO, I wouldn't want to change anyone else's behavior. PERIOD.

I think with patience, time and repitition, you can change someone's behavior. The only way I would want to change someone's behavior is if that behavior was destructive to themselves or others, or it was hurting someone, emotionally or physically.

You cannot change someone else's behavior. You can only change how to react to thier behavior.
Learn how to do that, and you have learned how to be happy.

No, you can only influence them to change their own behavior by giving incentives, punishments or simple encouragement/education.
