The only thing that you can do is to imitate the arguments of the
ultra-leftists that support it. Just say "Race is a social construct.",
and "Everyone is geneticly equal.", and "Racial inequalitity in
education and wealth is the result of oppression of some races, and
the culture of other races, not the genes. If we look at the genes of
the different races, and the brains of the different races, we see that
they are like the genes of identical twins, with the sole exception of
the gene for skin color.", and "The different average brain size of
different races is not true; it is fabricated.", and "The different IQ bell
curves of different races are fabricated, because IQ tests are culturally
biased because they are based on a person's knowledge of european
and east asian history and pop culture. For example, one question on
those IQ tests asked who won the last 'american idol' competition.
All of the questions are like that. The questions are made in a very
specific proportion of culture-specific knowledge, such that sinid
asians score the highest, followed by europeans, then eskimos, then
native americans, middle easterners, southeast asians, and polynesians,
and finally africans and australoids. The IQ test-makers also target the
specific sub-cultures within a country, so as to produce the same results
when people of different races live in the same country. For example, the
tests don't ask any questions about 50-Cent or Snoop Dog, but they
ask lots of questions about pokemon and Britney Spears and etcetera
etcetera."

I think the context is that Affirmative Action is discriminative in nature because it gives one group an advantage over the others. Yet, it is our only answer in this country as a means to reverse the effects of generations of discrimination perpetrated on the African American community. I would discuss the history of Affirmative Action, who it generally helps, statistic related to AA (# student receiving, # students receiving who also graduate, # black college grads between before AA to present). As well, talk about other options that have be brought up to deal w/ inequalities of past and present (desegregation, re-segregation, reparations) and how these have failed or haven't addressed the issues. With the pro side of this argument you'll have to look to what other anti- think and use their arguments to create one's of your own. Much of contentiousness of this debate is emotional not logical, so you'll have to debate people feelings as well.

Well, in American culture, minority populations often experience discrimination. A remedy for this discrimination is Affirmative Action.. which essentially requires that employers take an equal look at qualified candidates of every race, culture .. and perhaps take a second look at minority candidates to give them a little 'extra' help in getting a job.
The reason it may be neccessary in a democratic society is to force some more discriminatory employers to allow persons of other cultures to be employed.... Thus leveling the playing field, and not arbitrarily blocking certain ethnic-religious groups from employment.
The problem with this is that it goes against the idea of 'freedom' .. which allow employers to hire anyone they wish, without regard to race, culture.

Affirmative action is discriminative because it discriminates against the majority. For example, a black kid with mediocre grades got into a certain college even when a white kid has better grades than him. It is a democratic way to address social inequalities because...well, I actually don't think it's democratic. lol, sorry

affirmative action offers a position not on skill but on color; that in itself is discrimination to the other race; you are being rewarded for pure skin tone only , not on merit, nor qualifications; they thought that this action would level the playing field due to ethnic groups not having in the same economic advantages for education as the white population; when you select a few in the name of equality to level the playing field, you now set this same group apart from the main group that you are looking to establish equality; any time there is a separation due to race, color, creed, you defeat the purpose , equality. It deepens the gap b/t the different groups as opposing to equality. In the scoring system, mark down 5 extra points in your favor for not being white. That is inequality.

Affirmative action has done nothing but flip flop discrimination, not addressed or eliminated it. It's given mediocre people opportunities they don't deserve and vice versa. It's eliminated the concept of hard work and ingenuity getting people to the top. I'd debate on it's failure.
