I don't see anything wrong with it although it's arguably sexist.

True story: A few years ago I walked into the Women's Studies Office at Highline Community College in Seattle (I'm a man) and as a joke I asked for directions to the Men's Studies Office. The woman behind the desk told me that there is no Men''s Studies Office. I asked her why not. She had no reply. I asked her if it wasn't gender discrimination for the college to have Woman's studies but not Men's studies. She replied that it's a man's world. I said that if it was really a man's world the college would have Men's studies and forbid Women's studies. She had no answer. No sense of humor either.

sounds such as you're nicely qualified. i'm incredibly lots in an identical boat as you different than i'm a Math significant going for my Ph.D. i'm assuming which you're searching for for a whole time interest (with advantages, and so on.). which would be tricky to return by way of because of the fact the contemporary form in community colleges has been to hire area time (because of the fact then they are actually not rather "obligated" to grant hours/artwork or the advantages. they're going to easily pay you hourly). there are a number of human beings i understand (in diverse fields too) that finally end up working at distinctive institutions (all at area time status) to make ends meet. and then after some years, you may push for a whole time place. till, you already know somebody has left the dep. or they choose to amplify the dep. and that they are explicitly searching for finished timers. yet just to aid you already know, in comparison to attempting to artwork for a 4 365 days college, it rather is lots lots much less perplexing to commence artwork at a 2 365 days college.

Considering the fact that most of the material that is used for these courses is compiled by Women who have Their own agenda, I should say be very wary of the outcome. Would it not make far more sense for Women to learn how Men think rather than what it is alleged We thought about 50 years ago? By all means study about Women. But leave the rhetoric, propaganda, sexism, misandry and politics out of the class room. Or is that too much to ask of students today? College is a place of learning and not merely the paying of lip service to the rights, views, aspirations and opinions of those who have profited from publication or media profile.

"Women's studies" is code for "feminist indoctrination".

It is no more about "studying the lives of women" than baby oil is made from babies.

What next ? "ethnic cleansing" studies program ?

Carnac: hindsight being 20/20 I know, but maybe you could have asked where the "It's a mans' world" office is ?
