Because the media tends to over play incidents where a person who has done something horrible was a loner or somehow mentally ill. And because when people do get mentally troubled they often withdraw and don't talk about it much. Horrible deeds are just as often done by extroverts. Look at any war history and there are many instances of atrocious acts by seeming normal extroverts. The difference is is that war is accepted, extroversion is necessary in war, and the bad deeds are considered a normal part of war.

I am one who believes that anyone doing a violent act against another is mentally ill including those in wars and including extroverts and introverts. A nation which allows itself to be drawn into a war is an organism whose cells are its citizens and which is mentally ill.
I expect a lot of dissent on this.

I do not believe that anger "builds up in a person and then erupts in violence". Anger toward others may become a habit for many extroverts and there is no evidence that its release diminishes its intensity in one. Or that one who has no history of violence has a pent up store of ill will towards others that must be released.

I have a deep feeling of good will toward others. Good health, peace and love!

I don't know... I have always been more on the quiet side, especially with people that I've just met, but I'm slowly becoming more outgoing. I guess that people feel somewhat intimidated by people that are quiet, they tend to be more mysterious. However, I don't think that quiet people are the most dangerous people. To even think that is ridiculous! lol

most likely because quiet people seem more mysterious and no one knows what is going on in their minds. If quiet people talked more, they wouldn't seem so "dangerous" to others. It would help others to feel safer around them by getting to know them better.

because everybody has to express themselves in some way, in order to vent frustration, and its inevitable (taken for granted) that if you bottle everything up inside sooner or later your going to blow. Although this isn't alwayz the case, in fact it could just be that many of these "quiet" people are just more layed back and not as easily wound up.

Because people who are loud and talkative seem to let out the person that they are.
People who are quiet tend to keep things hidden inside. Like they dont want people to figure them out.
