*so far* this has just been an internet & phone connection. i'm embarrassed to say, but i'm absolutely falling for (have fallen for?) this guy without even having met him yet. i HAVE seen many pictures, as well as webcam, so i know im incredibly attracted to him. (he's seen several photos of me and i know he feels the same way.)

i'm freaking out right now because he's pulling away from me over the last couple of days and i can definitely tell. he's lost interest - he just isn't the same as he was at the beginning, which was about 5 weeks ago. this has been difficult the entire time (he lives about 4 hours away), but we were planning to meet at some point and i was really serious about it. so serious i've even considered moving to his area. (lol, that sounds insane, i know... but i'd been planning to move anyway. :p)

anyway, i might know what to do if this had happened in person, but what do you do when it's over the internet?! is there anything i can do to re-ignite his interest?

..and why the majority of the civilized world and the wealthiest nations are predominantly white. I myself am Mexican American, and if you are already saying to yourself I'm racist, please stop here. It seems apparent that the major different ethnic groups (white, oriental, arab/muslim, black, latino) developed their distinctive appearances due to the environment in which they were from. Perhaps the skin of black people are so dark because of the beating sun of Africa. The oriental's eyes are shaped the way they are because of the constant sunlight they were exposed to. Back to the original query-- Perhaps white people's skin is so light because they were the first type of human to figure out how to shelter themselves. This would then explain why the majority of intellectuals in the history of the human race are white. Now, this would go against many ideals on equality. So what is wrong with this idea? Where am I going wrong?

I am reeling from having my PC stolen from my home. I am having some EVIL thoughts, which is NOT like me at all. It hurts because I have 7 years' of hard work, as well as personal information on there. I have a few ideas of who stole it, but I am not certain. I have a novel I've been writing on there, as well as photos and videos. The pain is very personal, and I cannot sleep because I cannot stop thinking about it! I just want it back. That doesn't seem to be a realistic expectation, and I'm scared that I might 'snap' out of frustration. Anyone have any helpful ideas?

I feel as though i can't do anything without dreaming about what i've always wished for. All i can do is think about my future. All of the hoping, wishing, and dreaming drives me crazy. I guess what really scares me is not being able to achieve what i want to before i die. Whenever i'm at home all i can do is write songs or draw. I feel that if i don't do anything my life is going to end up meaningless...the sad thing is, i actually believe that i can achieve what i want to. Everyone else around me seems to have a good time, when all i can do is worry and drive myself crazy in my own thoughts...I've never done this before until these last few months. Am i not mentally "with it"?

Has anyone spent much time in consideration of sports fandom?

I just asked a question about NASCAR fans, and I found that while a few were willing to attribute me innocent ignorance of the sport (not really accurate) most assumed I was a real idiot and couldn't figure out what made NASCAR so cool (er... "country" as one fan put it).

So, I'll try my question again here:

What causes someone to become a NASCAR fan? Drivers? Teams? Sponsors? Heritage?

Did you ever notice that the sillouette used in lieu of a photo or avatar is that of a male? You all probaly don't care, which I find unusual and quite odd, but that's one thing you don't rant about.

Since I was little, I have always had a stutter, it has got better over the years, now its more of mental blocking (when I want to say a word, but cant, so I pick another one that I can say lol) I havent told anyone about this problem, and its seemed to have gone unnoticed.. But I've recently landed a new job in sales, and in a few weeks I will be trained using the phone for the company. I have a fear of phones, I think its due to the fact I get the mental block and I dont want to sound stupid, I can talk to people I know, but when it comes to picking the phone up to someone new, I start shaking with nerves!
Anyone else have this problem? or if anyone has some useful tips to keep the nerves at bay, would be grately appreciated :)

For example: my Son, who used us for everything, money, education, babysitting his children...now, when he is married and established professionally, discards us.

Is there a psychological term for this?

Ok this is the strangest dream ever. First realize that in all my dreams, all regular logic applies. Meaing it’s just like everyday life, no one flying etc. So here it is…I was at school. I knew it as the school I went to (in the dream) but it definitely was not my current school. The memory of good ol’ SHS was erased. Everything was different, but I knew my way around. The weird part of it was that I knew it was a dream. I knew that when the alarm went off back in my room, all of it would end. So anyways, I was walking through a hall and ran into an old friend. We haven’t talked to each other in a while, but we were once really good friends. I told him that this was a dream, but he didn’t believe me. I was annoyed that he wouldn’t believe me, but we had to go to class. Anyways, it progressed to almost a second dream. Except it was the same school. Anyways, I was late for biology.

Exactly when did the notion arise that women were once treated as property? It is a very curious concept that a human was once treated as a sheep. I am inclined to disagree with this because said "property" had certain rights even in the ancient eras.

All in all, I have two questions:

1) Where is the proof that women were ever regarded as property? (Objective evidence, not feminist rhetoric, please, and note the cultures in which this occurred.)
2) Exactly when did this "tradition" stop?

I was under the assumption that women have ALWAYS been recognized as human beings and not as property, although they were governed by different social customs and rules.

He was released from prison for armed robery in Vegas just a few months ago. He's going to every salon I've ever worked in or might want to work at and slandering me. The people that know of him don't listen, but if you don't know him, he's very convincing. He claims he's a strattegest, Godlike, and a spiritual warrior. He's not in reality. He's huge. He looks like Dog the Bounty Hunter, but younger and all of his hair is long. He's obssesed with me and the fact that I rejected him. He tried to become bestfriends with my brother and tried to minipulate him. He calls all my friends using selling vitamins as his excuse for calling. He's stalking me and doesn't care that I know. I called the police. He doesn't care. His brother shot two cops. His mom has esp. He practices nature majic and is convinced he will be my spouce one day. I've been ignoring him. When people tell me what he says about me, I just shake my head. Is my lack of reaction making the problem worse?

Involuntary feminization has to do with SMBD practices where a subject is physiologically and psychologically altered by the experiences he has been subjected to. I know somebody who is going through this and would like to help him. From what I understand people who experience this are not willing participants.
