For example: my Son, who used us for everything, money, education, babysitting his children...now, when he is married and established professionally, discards us.

Is there a psychological term for this?

He never calls or comes by...never visits. Only when he wants something, he asks. He has discarded his own brother too. Breaks my heart.

He is the toast of the town, most sought after guy.
He talks to me in the most hateful ways you can imagine, yet I love his children so much and keep putting up with it. I just about want to die.

We waited on him hand and foot and I can now see that he is a spoiled brat. He was once so caring and loving...he really was. So tender hearted. Where did he go?

No, they're just assholes, in layman's and professional terms. Sorry, I didn't read your whole question. He's an ungrateful spoiled brat.

Discards you? How-so? I don't exactly visit my parents all the time but they are proud of what I do and have accomplished.

I get around to seeing them once every other month or so. I'm generally pretty busy.
