Did you ever notice that the sillouette used in lieu of a photo or avatar is that of a male? You all probaly don't care, which I find unusual and quite odd, but that's one thing you don't rant about.

I did notice that it looked male, but I probably wouldn't appreciate a female one any more than that if it were as plaon and dull-looking. I wish someone would tell me how to access those nice little pictures you call "avatar"s. I have not seen a parameter on here for that. Am I just missing something, or is it maybe something that comes up when you reach a higher "level"?
But then, they probably don't have one of those that looks anything like me, anyway.

it is what it is. but it is kind of odd. i would think that they would use a female profile for females and a male profile for males. this would also help to know the gender of the person asking the question, especially when its a style or health related question.
yes, i am surprised more women havent mentioned this. i know i have thought about it, but never took the time to ask the question.

I just always figured it was designed to be as unisex as possible, and there are probably more women with short hair than men with long hair, so they just went with short. It's OK...
