I don't want to go! My parents have been trying to get me to go for years. I'm sick of being treated like a weirdo, they just can't accept me for who I am. Now my dad set up an appointment and he says he's going to drag me to the shrink. What is wrong with them? And how can I get out of this. Also, i am almost 18 so are they allowed to make me go?

Do they do this to make it appear to the men as if they are okay with what made them mad? Do they do this to distract them from the reminder of what made them mad? They just chose to bottle it in and not show frustration. I understand that every woman is different but there has to be a pattern here.

Today I was driving and a memory just popped in my out of nowhere- sitting on the porch eating a bag of ruffles cheddar and sour cream potato chips with my aunt when I was about 6 yrs old. Nothing substantial happened that day so why do I remember that particular day? I know that we cannot remember everything that we have experienced in our lives but why do we remember some things and not others?? Some things that I remember are just trivial, day to day things and some things I can't remember, like going tothe state fair as a child (I know I went because we have pictures but I can't remember it).

People speak in incoherent fragments without even introducing the topic... it just sounds like mumbling.

Doesn't it seem like more and more people are just rambling on and on about nothing these days?

Maybe I'm just imagining things but it seems like people are walking around with heads full of "junk info" from the TV and radio...

Perhaps too many medications and angry media are the cause?

Self-made millionaire turned welfare mom; from an Olympic gold medalist to a paraplegic; from a well-respected philosopher to a mentally handicapped dependent--these are just a few examples of outcomes that can greatly humble the most well-rounded and successful individuals known to man. Have there been any experiences in your life that have activated your humble nature? For me, it was losing both of my kidneys to renal failure and gaining the label as a disabled person. What about you? Did the experience affect you in a more negative or positive way?

Serious and mature answers are both desired and appreciated. Thank you.

FYI: To answer one of my own questions, I refuse to allow my condition to control me. I have just learned to accept it and work a little harder towards my goals.

I never understand how some people can pay for sex. Not in a moral way. But, Isnt it embarassing? Im in asia at the moment where you tend to find a lot of "snack bars" ..no prizes for guessing what the workers snack on. It's not hidden and some men dont find it that embarassing to admit theyve gone. But im sure if i ever went id die of embarassment knowing that whoever was "servicing" me just wanted me to hurry up and finish. So, why DO some people pay?
