First, you need to get help for depression and your drug problem. Try to be stronger. Say to yourself "I am in control, not the drugs, not my depression" Then go out there and find something fun. Throw yourself into it and don't stop for nothing.

It sounds to me like you haven't found you passion in life yet. Of course, all these things are symptoms of depression, but you already know that I'm sure. I think you need to do some soul searching and discover what it is you would like to do with the rest of your life. What is important to you? What are you passionate about? Even if going into something you love means taking a step down or a paycut, it will be well worth it to find a reason to go to work everyday and enjoy what you do. You have a purpose in this life, you are just still searching for it like many other people are. There is nothing wrong with you other than you don't believe in yourself and you've gotten depressed. Since it is affecting your life in such a negative way, I think you should talk to your Dr. about how you feel and see what he/she says about it. A mild antidepressant may help bring you out of it and balance out your seratonin levels so you can think clearer. Life is so full of adventure and new experiences. Please don't ever give up on yourself. You are meant to be here and I know that you will find your way to a happy future if you just try and maybe get some help. Think about all the things you haven't experienced yet that you'd like to. Make a list and promise yourself to do some of these things. You will find your place. Don't destroy yourself with drugs and drinking, they will only make your depression worse and your situation worse. I wish you the best and hope you will feel better and learn to enjoy the journey of life.

C'mon Dreamer, snap out of it. You're young, beautiful and have your whole life ahead of you. I was just like you a few months ago. I work with Homeless people and battered women. I saw so much sadness I became depressed beyond belief. I went to my doctor and started on a drug called Cymbalta. 2 weeks later I was back to my old self. I'm not saying Cymbalta will work as well for you, but you've got to start somewhere and your doctor is a good place. You can contact me anytime you want. My bio has my email. I've been married to the same woman for 26 years and love her with all my heart, so I'm not some perv. lol Look forward to hearing from you.

My first thought is that you need to get off the drugs. This could be making things worse. Begin to write a list of things you need to do, things you must do, and things you want to do.... even if it is something as simple as getting new mascara. Cross of each thing you accomplish, and you will slowly begin to get a little more control in your life and a little more direction. Don't waste your precious life wishing that you were dead; don't worry, it is a given, eventually every one will be dead. So use the time that you are here to live...... You may want to go see a professional.. Good luck, and good life....

well for starters, when it comes to your drug abuse, have you ever heard the phrase " beautiful people do the ugliest things''.
I wish you'd be more detailed, I mean from what i understand there's nothing "wrong" with you, you just need to change your lifestyle. You should learn to accept help from whoever gives it to you, like ME. I don't know how "bad" your life is or why you seem to think something is wrong with you but you should know only you can change it. if you really think your life is not where you'd like it to be, then maybe you should reach out, I mean talk to people, in time they will help.
You ask this question like someone here is going to give you the secret answer on how to fix your life. but here's some advice, know where your going, that makes all the diff, and DO NOT rely on anybody because they wont help ( that's from experience )
I don't mean to be rude but the bottom line is that if you have the nerve to complain about where your life is at, you should have the strength to change it.
BEST ANSWER , I'm telling ya.

There is nothing wrong with you. Everyone go through stages like that.
Just change your attitude towards life. Set a little goal and try to achieve that. Then set a higher goal for yourself.
Having goal will keep you focus, motivated, and it will simplify your life.

Set some goals for yourself. You might be the type of person that would benifit from those moticational books like ones by Tony Robbins. I've also heard that depression meds are good now-a-days.
