It could be santa, relationships, god, heaven, conspiracy theories, new age things...
Say what you believed in and why you stopped believing and why you find it silly now that you look back.

I work with this guy, and I'm sure we all know somebody like him. He gets very comfortable with people very quickly. He seems to open up and tell alot about himself. Today he was talking about his apt, and how he has it docorated and how he learned it from working with women and when girls come over they compliment him on his candles etc. To me its a bit annoying but I try to understand him. Is there some kind of complex people like him have? Is there a way for him to change? I can understand why he may add in a little "fib" it's obviously thinks it would make him "fit in" but I wonder if its a confidence issue. If it is then why isn't everyone like him? We all have some kind of confidence issue and we all lie. Anyways just wondering...

Normally I am quiet, sullen and drawn inside. The only way that I ever feel sociable or able to engage in meaningful conversation with people is when I have a couple of drinks in me. Why?

I keep seeing my friend crying in my dreams. I either just sit there, unable to do anything. Or i give him a hug, but know it's not helping him.
These dreams are so realistic, i wake up and stuggle to tell if it was a dream or not.

I think that there is a negative stigma towards mental health, but why. People who are mentally ill do not necessarly bring it on themselves, and their condition is not something that they choose to have. It doesn't matter a person has depression or schizopherina it is a condition which needs to be address and attended to with care and sympathy. I just want to know where did the negative view come from?

We might be insulated from the fact that losing religion causes a person suffering, since it is very hard to talk people out of their religion. The difficult intellectual prying is almost a distraction from the goal, and consequences. If it were super easy, like just saying "Hi", would it make us think more carefully about trying to convert people from their religion?

I am someone who is very close in a non-romantic way to someone who is most likely a sociopath.

Though I and several others who care deeply for this person have seen how deceitful and manipulative he has been and can be, we still consider ourselves to be his friends, and want very much to help him.

After reading about how hopeless treatment for the sociopath actually is, we are considering an intervention (with just the four of us), to let him know that we know about the deceit and manipulation, but that we love and care about him, and that we want him to let us in, to trust us, to let us trust him, to be his real friends.

I would like to know if this is a good idea- if this may help him, when it looks as though nothing else will, and how he might react.

I would also like to know if it might be helpful to educate him about Antisocial Personality Disorder, and to show him all of the signs, symptoms and characteristics of the disorder and explain how many of these we see in him.

Plants produce seeds or they don't, an element is either metal or it is not.
She teaches them that they have choices in life for which they are solely responsible for...do homework or not...behave or not...be good or bad.
She goes on to say: " Laws are supposed to be followed or there are consequences to those who choose to disobey. Murder is allowed or not. Vandalism is allowed or not...
Speed limits are allowed or not.
I find this hard to accept and wonder if she should be teaching psychology instead.
If truly life was this way we wouldn't need so many lawyers.
To me life has too many gray areas...Life is not just black and white.

Please I am having a confusion here concerning what happens when a woman reach the point of orgasm during sexual intercourse. With references to what I saw in the Porn movies. Some women ejaculate a kind of watery ( like urine) while some ejaculate a tick whitish flavor like a ice-cream. What is the truth about this? does woman have sperm apart from the egg (ovum)? Do they really release during sex and what do they release?

My father died almost 2 years ago, and my mother just died 2 months ago. They both died in the hospital, and I wasn't with either of them when they died. Logically, I know that it's impossible to spend every waking moment at the hospital, especially with babies at home, and that no one knows exactly when someone will die. Still, when I think about it, I feel so guilty that they both had to die alone in a hospital room. Will I feel this way forever, or does the feeling go away eventually?
