Kathy Acker the poet said 'only dying is a cure for love'

William Blake "Entharmon pitying and her heart gates broken down; they descend thro' the gate of pity the broken heart gate which is the synagog of satan"

W B Yeats - Crazy Jane and Jack the Journeyman
I know, although when looks meet
I tremble to the bone,
The more I leave the door unlatched
the sooner love is gone,
For love is but a skein unwound
Between the dark and dawn.

A lonely ghost the ghost is
that to God shall come;
I-loves' skein upon the ground,
my body in the tomb-
Shall leap into the light lost
In my mothers womb.

But were I left to lie alone
In an empty bed,
The skein so bound us ghost to ghost
When he turned his head
Passing on the road that night,
mine must walk when dead.

On cures Nick Cave once said "There is a kingdom, there is a king, he lives without and he lives within, so the world appears through this mist of tears...."

and someone? once wrote
"From the one that I wish to liberate,
Rise towards me the aromas of the perfume that impregnates the sepulchre.
Formerly some called her, Isis, Queen of the beneficent sources, COME TO ME ALL YOU WHO SUFFER AND WHO ARE OVERWHELMED AND I WILL COMFORT YOU, others: Magdalene, of the famous vase of healing balm. the initiates know her true name Notre Dame Des Cross."

hope that helps.

No. Love is an incredibly deep emotion that you feel in your head, your heart and it sort of just seems to take you over. However, true love with the right person shouldn't be painful. There may be times of disappointment, frustration and the other person may hurt your feelings, but the majority should be wonderful. Breaking up with someone, getting divorced is extremely painful. however, the pain will go away. It is curable. Be honest with yourself about the relationship and really take a deep, hard look at what it was like most of the time. If it made you unhappy most of the time, it wasn't the right person for you. Although, you may miss the other person, if you are honest with yourself you will see that it didn't make you happy or give you what you needed. True love is kind, patient, honest and considerate. This kind of love makes you feel joy, and makes you feel better about yourself as a person.
