I and my best friend (we are both males) are sitting on top of a four-story bed... then there was an earthquake... His part of bed went down, while mine remain standing. I was in a hurry to catch him. He was just staring and trying to reach my hands while he went down.

So for example, today:
I had eaten 80% of my reccomended daily calories for the day by say 2:30....(most of these were from unhealthy roasted sugary nuts)
i already felt like a fatty
then of course i was forced to eat dinner and was pushed over my caloric limit for the day
but then i got hungry so i ate about 3/4 of a carton of plain vegan cream cheese
---now i am WAY over my caloric limit for the day---
now i feel SO gross and fat and like i want to go on some crazy rapid weight loss diet to make me feel better about my self
i also always say that "tomorrow, i will cut calories and do better" but i never do
i havnt gained weight yet, but i have a feeling it will sneak up on me

BASICALLY, what i really need is TIPS ON FEELING BETTER ABOUT MYSELF! please please please help me

THANKS!!!!

In my opinion, it seems so because the left hemisphere of the brain is more logic, while the right hemisphere is more creativity and imagination.
Is it true?

I passed out from my school last year. This teacher is one of my favourites &so to keep in touch with her after school I asked her her email address. So I used to write to her and she used to reply too , whenever she gets time. But now for the past few months she has not replied at all!It is not that she does not check her mails. But she never replies to me.What is the matter? How do I solve this problem? Is she angry with me or is she avoiding me????????If so what may be the reason?

I saw a programme on UK television tonight C4 entitled The Last Slave http://www.channel4.com/history/microsites/H/history/a-b/britains_slave_trade.html - I found it very interesting, not least because as the man on the documentary kept saying ''there is no black and white'' to the truth.

He researched into his past with the aid of his grandfather's diaries, a trip to Jamaica & a visit to a historian in central London & found he had to come to terms with some rather uncomfortable truths about the slave trade and human behaviour in general i.e. that black people sold black people to slave traders etc., that most of the wealth of 17th and 18th century England had relied heavily on the slave trade and that people in Jamaica inspite of it, thought that the British Empire had left somethings behind that were to be desired - the highlight of the documentary was when this black man in search of his roots so to speak came face to face with a white owner of a surviving sugar plantation!

After 50 years it is pretty clear that it isn't working and in some cases it has demonstrated itself to be VERY counter productive (e.g. Somalia). But instead of adopting a new policy strategy, we are told that only a 'few' more billions are needed, and nothing changes.

Why are people so willing to accept this, and how can the aid programs be improved to make them beneficial to people they are 'helping'?

Norms are the expectations that we have of each other and society. They exist because tradition exists. They are taught in the home, churches, social groups, etc. What is up with this mentality that "society is ever evolving" in the sense that we should be more "accepting" and "tolerant"? I mean, kids in school with shirts on reading "Gay? I'm cool with that" Or kids with swatzika's tattooed on their forearms. If this is "social evolution", we're screwed. It seems to me that those who tolerate and accept anything and everything value nothing. Agree? yes or no, and why. Only sensible people need reply.

One of the biggest problems preventing a woman from divorcing a man to collect alimony and child support in the past were the laws that refused a woman the right to annul a marriage for no reason. The laws used to require a proof of misconduct, like abuse or infidelity to cash out. So feminists did the logical thing and got rid of the reasons and therefore the requirements of proof. Now we can cash out whenever we want.

Same problem with rape now. If we want to have a man sent to jail for rape, we have to do this patriarchy inspired "giving proof" thing, So there is a lot of argument about "fault in rape", why don't we just do away with requiring reasons and go by women's word? If she feels like she was raped, then she was. We can have a "no fault rape", where a reason for the women thinking she was raped is not required, thus doing away with the need for proof. That way the man is convicted regardless.

Beautiful and allowing women so much more freedoms and rights, don't you think?

And mainstream society believes that these Evangelicals are under the same spell....

Then who is right? And how can that be determined in a fair, impartial way?

Think about the issues - Homosexuality, Evolution, Stem Cell, NRA/Gun Ownership, etc. etc...

I know that everyone does not fit neatly into one box or the other... but there are some general ways that Evangelicals and Fundamentalists think about these issues...

I have a boyfriend I have been dateing six years. He has asked me to marry him. Its is long distance right now and has been for a few years. I called him to night and told him that while i was out i had a drink spilled on me (Just rasberry Lemonaide) he got mad and was like "Oh! Now your flashing waiters. i'm gonna go watch my movie now" so I was like "Call me after the movie?" and he was like "maybe, maybe not." do you think that I desereved the comment? I am just wondering if he is overreacting, or not.

Am i the only one who thinks that most people are overly dramatic about things? I'm not sure about the best way to explain this but does it seem like people act like most situations are a much bigger deal than they are. Like they read to much into most things, maybe to make their lives more interesting?

Does anyone know what i mean?
