Maybe they both have the wisdom and intelligence graced upon them. Have you ever thought of it like this?
The person who is asking the question have the wisdom and intelligence to seek the answer or the wisdom itself, while the person who answers have had the wisdom and intelligence of knowing the answer and in turn wisely and intelligently answers the questions.

I think you need to do both to become wise and intelligent. Asking questions is one way to find out new information and to have things explained to you. Answering questions helps us use our knowledge and our brains to recall that information and use it. I think wise, intelligent people are that way because they are not afraid to ask questions. They stay that way by putting their knowledge and wisdom to good use.

The measure of intelligence cannot be discerned by the fact of either asking or answering a question. It's the quality of the question or answer that would determine that.

asking a question makes you a more intelligent than you already are if the question is right otherwise it would make you look like an idiot
whereas answering a question would make you look intelligent if the answer suit if not you still look like an idiot...

so no matter if you answer or ask you are intelligent... hehe
