I'm so negative about things and feel like I will fail at everything I do. Will someone give me ways that I can just relax and be more positive about things around/about me. About my relationships with people, my health, school, and job. I want to make my life better, I am happy but I'm soooo negative and I want to change that around. Please help me!!!

By the way for that guy/girl who left that absurd comment not even an answer, I'm 22 yrs old I'm a very attractive girl, if you don't like the question I posted go somewhere else to post something negative. I am not one to take anyone's B.S. Respect is something people need to learn in this life time. I do not know where any of that went nowadays. Anyway, enough of my babbling.

Good question. I find myself in the same predicament. Have you ever seen the movie The Secret? Very inspiring. It speaks of the law of attraction, like attracting like. I think there is some truth to the law of attraction. Energy is real. If we exude positive energy, wouldn't it seem reasonable that positive energy might attract back. Likewise, negative energy is attracted to negative energy. Generally, people seek out those who in some way relate to them. I believe firmly in the boomerang effect. What you send out comes back in some way, at some time. Reap what you sew. You probably are already aware of everything I'm talking about, as am I. The difficulty is putting it into practice. I'm still trying to figure that one out. How do I attract more positive energy. All I can say is personally, the one force that appears to hold me back most is fear. If I can learn to overcome fear, I feel I might more fully reach my potential. Anyways, if you haven't checked out the movie The Secret, I recommend you give it a watch. Goodluck.

First, I'd remove negative influences as much as possible - music, friends, work associates, etc. You don't have to "break up" with friends and quit your job, but spend less time with people that promote negativity (whine with you, etc.)
Second, remind yourself that you can't *control* everything that happens, only how you *react* to it. Usually getting upset/angry/negative over something is a waste of your energy.
Third, find a more positive outlet for stress - exercise, dancing, or maybe something creative :)
And finally - don't be hard on yourself!

You have made the first big step and that is admitting that you are negative. You need to look at yourself and find things that you like about yourself. And each day be thankful for all of your blessings and all of the good things about you. You can change. Just love yourself and be patient. God Bless.

I do exactly the same as you. I can't even help it. I try not to be negative, but it comes out sometimes. It think we're worry warts, even though everything ends up coming out okay anyway. Just hang in there and try to realize that in the end, no matter what, everything works itself out.

don't listen to all the negativity in the media. They don't show the good things.
