So for example, today:
I had eaten 80% of my reccomended daily calories for the day by say 2:30....(most of these were from unhealthy roasted sugary nuts)
i already felt like a fatty
then of course i was forced to eat dinner and was pushed over my caloric limit for the day
but then i got hungry so i ate about 3/4 of a carton of plain vegan cream cheese
---now i am WAY over my caloric limit for the day---
now i feel SO gross and fat and like i want to go on some crazy rapid weight loss diet to make me feel better about my self
i also always say that "tomorrow, i will cut calories and do better" but i never do
i havnt gained weight yet, but i have a feeling it will sneak up on me

BASICALLY, what i really need is TIPS ON FEELING BETTER ABOUT MYSELF! please please please help me

THANKS!!!!

Well, the most important part of feeling better about yourself is to focus on what's truly valuable about you and more importantly, what's under your control.

Images of yourself as gross and fat are superficial and shouldn't affect your self-worth. You need to value yourself for nonphysical things, because no matter how good a shape you keep yourself in, you are going to get old and you won't be pretty forever.

Forgive yourself for having messed up and focus on being more disciplined from now on. If you're going to self-punish, you should do it WHILE you're eating those handfuls of nuts or cartons of cream cheese. Let it help you STOP eating them before you ruin your diet. Your present is completely under your control. Your past isn't anymore, so let it go.

People with real self-esteem take care of themselves and are proud of their health. And you know that a crash diet isn't healthy. A healthy diet and regular exercise will keep the weight off AND keep you feeling good, and that's something you can be proud of.

Just remember, being happy and healthy is the most attractive characteristic anyone can have... to other happy and healthy people. And those are the ones you want attracted to you anyway. ;)

Binge eating seems to be your kryptonite. Binge eating generally comes down to subconscious emoitonal issues that need to be dealt with. Next time this happens, try to work out what happened before hand to make you feel to need to eat, did something specific happen? Did some emotional issue come up that you feel overwhelmed abt and you sort to drown out your troubles via eating, which is a quick satisfaction self comfort way of sheilding yourself from the things that you seriously need to deal with. Go see a counsellor and a body-image/self-confidence professional. They'll be able to help you in more depth. Don't be shy abt talking to them, they know all abt these things and are there to help you. Gd luck! ciao

I Feel The Same Way But for me i dont have any appetite so i never feel like eating and wen i do feel like eating i basically hog on potato chips or the available fruit. if your feeling hungry and stuff its best to go for fresh fruits because no matter how much you eat your only gettig healthier.
Dont Eat A lOT Of SUGARY FOODS AND FIZZY DRINKS cuz those are wat really make you feel fat and Do Make You Fat!!!!!
Also Wen you eat fruits you are more happy because you are on the path to being healthy

Try Overeaters Anonymous. They know what you're going through and have a solution. Look in your phone book yellow pages under Self Help. Or key in 'Overeaters Anonymous' into the computer for local meeting lists.

Good luck
