A family is a couple or a group of people that live together and make a household run smoothly...they also are there for one another when times get rough...they carry each other through life...they learn, laugh, grow, teach, share things together...they are like friends but so much more...they keep each other whole

A family is a group of people you actually care about. Who love you despite your weirdness. A family should consist of at least one person for whom you'd be willing to die. I don't know man, I think it should ultimately be about love, respect, dignity, caring, etc. I've been in the military and played college football and in both instances we were family! (And that was with people to whom I had no blood relation.)

a family is mostly composed of the mother, the father and children. in other words nuclear family. extended families may include grandparents, grandchildren, in laws, and cousins. basically they are the people who are blood related to you. biologically related. they are the family you are born into. you do not get to choose your own family if they are blood, because you are born into a family. but when it comes to marriages, you get to choose and your children don't.
