As a transsexual women living with a transsexual man for over four years, I have my own idea.

It actually comes down to the old sports cliché "Offense gets the glory, defense wins the game"

Women as caretakers tend to be in a more conservative gender based social role, which is more easily defensible.

Lot's of men love receiving glorious attention from their peers.

I don't mind them having their glory. As long as we keep winning the game.

I have always (and it's okay to laugh) had this fear of trees! Tall pine trees and very tall and skinny palm trees (but I love LA). Also, trees with humongous trunks! You would never find me hiking in the woods or be near them anywhere else if it can be avoided. I know there is a name for this but my question to you all is, is there anyone else out there in the world who has this exact fear and if so, why?

Women in the United States at this point have won some equality in areas such as being able to vote, opportunity to join the military, opportunity to run for office including president, and opportunity to be an executive at some branches however for some reason they dont seem to be as eager to be included in selective service. Can you please give me reasons why they should or should not.

One day the bad effects of drugs will be gone, but would u really want to live in a world where every ones just happy? Not achieving or fighting, just drug induced happiness and peace (or in other words the 60’s! but with out the bad results e.g addiction and mental and physical harm) in a world where we could just choose to be in a state of happiness that you didn’t have to leave, would that be so bad? We wouldn’t ‘do’ any more (no struggle, stress or pain), we would just ‘be’ happy and content or if we wanted- deliriously happy.
P.S. I’m also assuming we have made a pill for all our food and drink needs and still have children.

I have made a table together of all the values I have to analyse. It's a good thing that I'm at least starting with this report. I made the data more accesible.
I didn't arrive too late. At least I got here before 10:30.
I also listened to a friend and dared to tell him what I think.
Also found what what wrong with my bicycle.
Tommorow I will give myself more compliments about the day.

Good reasons to compliment myself?

Recently I've become interested in the subject and although I'm not a total believer, I really want to find out more. From a reliable source, not religious beliefs. I'd also be keen to undergo regression and see if it turns anything up, but don't know where or how in the UK you can do this.

P.S. Is there any way you can meditate or self-hypnotise to find out something yourself?

Any help, personal experiences or suggestions welcome!

If you have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, and also have great difficulty sleeping ... do you think the meds cause more damage to your body, or do you think by not taking the meds to reduce anxiety and help your body sleep, that the stress would cause more harm to the body in the long run?

Does it make more sense to get a good night's sleep and feel healthy, rather than irritable and unable to concentrate?

Aside from the dangers of addiction to meds of course, what do you think is more healthy? With or without meds?

Languages are all structured differently, and are fundamental to how we think. So is there an advantage to being a native speaker of one language over another.

Could language make it easier for a group of people to become more advanced? For example there are still groups of people living in the "stone age" in remote parts of the world. Is it possible that their language is partly responible? I'm not saying it's the only factor.

Has any research been done? Can language determine IQ?

If so which language is the "best"?

I'm 16 & all my life i have worried over something or another. i only remember one time that i have not been worried and then 5 minutes later i worry again. it is about my health more than anything. Lately i am worried about having a brain tumor. my mom asked a doctor about it and when she said i had a brain scan 2 years ago(i was getting dizzy so a consultant told me to have one) he said it would have shown up on that. i got over it then but a teacher was talking in class once about her brother who had a brain tumor and he was constanly thirsty and now about a week later i am thirsty constanly. i know deep down there is nothing wrong with me and the only reasin i am thirsty is probaley bacause she was talking about it. What can i do to make myself stop worrying?

Please help bacause i can't cope with it anymore and please don't tell me to have a brain scan because that is not an option (to long to explain)

I don't know. people have done me very wrong in the past, and I haven't noticed anything really done wrong the same on them-at least not yet. But also people have done me very wrong in the past and I've seen the same things happen to them, and it seem like it made them change. however, it doesn't seem like what goes around ALWAYS comes around.

people always say "oh, bullying is a normal part of life," and "oh they don't mean any harm, don't let them get to you," but in reality, people commit suicide over the effects that being bullied has had on them----why don't more people know this? or do they know it, but do they just not care? I personally think its always easier to minimize a situation if you're not in it and going through it yourself. just like if you have a bad stomachache, the average person probably would tell you "just down some pepto and take a nap-you'll feel better," but if if they were feeling the same pain, it probably wouldn't be that simple. Don't you agree?
