I have always (and it's okay to laugh) had this fear of trees! Tall pine trees and very tall and skinny palm trees (but I love LA). Also, trees with humongous trunks! You would never find me hiking in the woods or be near them anywhere else if it can be avoided. I know there is a name for this but my question to you all is, is there anyone else out there in the world who has this exact fear and if so, why?

Hi - Don't have that Now, but as kid found groups of trees scary. Why - those cartoons that show them w/ faces & branches that reach out and grab you. Branches that may break @ any time!

The name is "Dendrophillia"
Sure there are alot of people who have this. Your not alone.
So don't let it bother you ok? If it is stopping you from enjoying life outdoors there is help for it. Just see your family doctor who will lead you in the right direction.
Take care & have a nice weekend.
