I have to write a research paper for sociology on causal effects using variables and their relationships. He also wants us to conduct a survey or our own experiment then report our findings. I am just having trouble coming up with a topic to research.

now why would somebody go and report my question on the way some people dance??? It didn´t attack anybody, contained hardly any profanity compared to the morons that actually don´t get reported on their questions, and I just wanted an honest opinion. If some people´s brains and fingers know no more than pressing a flag button, can´t you explore yourself then and leave me out of this???
Just a question, let keep our hearts healthy with fun and laughter, one lives longer that way. Love and Respect.

produce, manufacture, and sell Hummos that is everything that ´traditional Arabic´ Hummos is NOT. Why are you going to put jalapeños in my Hummos?? I just want five ingredients: tahini, chickpeas, lemon juice, salt, and garlic, and MAYBE a bit of water. Why would you make it anything different than that?

Did the alleged ice-bridge over the Atlantic allow Europeans to colonize America and is the fact that US indigenous people have a quarter of their DNA in common with Europeans proof of this?

I've known this lonely lady for 3 years. We struck up a friendship after we met whilst temping. She hasn't had a mother figure in her life & holds a lot of resentment as regards her mum, who kept abandoning her as a child, but I don't feel I should bear the brunt of it. I only have my mum in my whole life (whom I currently live with), as all my family are dead, but each time I discuss/mention my mum with my friend, she dismisses the conversation and turns quite nasty. I've shown her photos of me & my mum when I was a child, but she hardly looked at them. It's now got to the stage that just because I have a mum even, she's started to ignore me. I would have thought a friend would value me as me & not judge me on the basis of my living situation/familial background. The latest is I told her that my mum is treating me to a show for my birthday & I've not heard from her since. I've shown my friend nothing but acceptance from the first day we met. What should I do with my friend?

I am in Spain studying abraod, been here since january 3rd, going home at mid or end of june. I just signed myself into a four month lease for a room in a shared appt. its expensive, and i´m not sure if i´ll like living there. i did it all yesterday, cause i have to move out o my dammned host family on sunday. i wonder whether i ought to have gone to a residnece, its a mroe lively student atmosphere, and they probably are not as exigent about quiet in the building, like they are in a regular appt. I have to share a tiny refrigerator with 2 people, the bathroom is across the hall, so i cant walk to it naked like i would like to. in a residence, for 650 euros per month ( appt 820 dollars) they give you your own room, sheets, towels, your own refrigerator and bathroom and it includes food in residence halls. already put down 680 euros for the appt, am i really up **** creek or do you think i can make it and shoudl make it a learning experience? (i´m 21, i´ve never lived away from home )

My good friend has a chronic illness for about 18 years and he has suffered occasional relapses for the last three years. Should I advise him to take it easy on himself and manage his expectations (ie. he may not be a high achiever in life).

i have a little question that may be tough to answer.
im one of those people who almost never get mad. (well very rarely). of course i feel like a wimp.

one time i was in line for a club and some black kid just cut in front of me. i walk in front of him but he just says something and cuts me again. i didnt want to look stupid so i just let him.
at the time i really didnt care but the next day i was like "DAMN I SHOULD'VE SOCKED HIS MOUTH". or atleast said something.

my friends also sometimes make fun of me and i just laugh with them. of course its only joking but after a while i get really angry but i still end up just laughing with them. then when im not with them i start to get really angry.

i was wondering, for people that hold their anger in (like me), does that mean i can explode one day if someone just really crosses the line?
i mean sometimes i feel that it might happen and it'll get really violent.

Like back in the early 1900's when women were so oppressed that feminism was born. When women couldn't vote or get paid the same as men, and all around didn't have the same rights as men.

Or like in the middle east where it's acceptable in some parts for men to brutally disfigure their wives if they feel they have behaved poorly. Or like in Christianity or Catholism where it has been the rule that only men could be priests. Or some parts of Asia where in the past, it was socially acceptable for families to kill the unborn daughter with beliefs that men are more valuable.

How did women let this happen? I'm sure that at least some of them weren't forced to follow these ways of life. Did some of these women agree with the rules and thats why they did nothing about it?

What I'm getting at is, is it more sound to say that both men AND women caused the problem of oppression of women? Or ( & prepare for the slight sarcasm) were women somehow magically controlled to be oppressed?

I don't have nightmares often, but when I do, I do it right. I went to sleep tonight and just woke up about twenty minutes ago, having gone through one of the worst nightmares I've had. Apocolypse now! It was the end of the world and all law and order was thrown out the window. I went from house to house, trying to find safety but only chaos was around me. I looked out into the ocean and massive tidal waves were coming and destroying these huge ships. Then I saw gangs who were killing people and looting. Before I went to sleep, I had two bran muffins. I had put alot of cinnamon in them. It sounds odd, but can that spice in large amounts possibly cause nightmares? If not, can someone interpret my dream? Everything in my life is going pretty well by the way so I don't know why I would dream of the end of the world! Thanks for your help!
