As a transsexual women living with a transsexual man for over four years, I have my own idea.

It actually comes down to the old sports cliché "Offense gets the glory, defense wins the game"

Women as caretakers tend to be in a more conservative gender based social role, which is more easily defensible.

Lot's of men love receiving glorious attention from their peers.

I don't mind them having their glory. As long as we keep winning the game.

In my experience in arguing with women (wife, previous girlfriends, step-daughters, mom), they typically stop making sense if they aren't "winning" the argument. This doesn't mean they stop talking or arguing. In fact, many argue harder and talk louder the less they are making sense. They will start to say things that have no bearing on the subject as if every word is some sort of deathblow. Some of the more intelligent women will later admit that they were making no sense and just didn't want to lose. Eventually, when faced with this, any man will turn around and walk away. I guess that's when women think they "win."

I hate winter: "Women are more verbally advanced than men and are better at getting their point across. Did u know on average women speak more words in a day than men?"

Women speak more words, because they include all of their emotions, which takes four days, and then eventually get to the gist of their argument or story. This is while people are trying to be patient, but want to say "get to the point already",but won't because of courtesy. Guys get right to the point, and don't have to spend unecessary hours including feelings that have no relevance to the event, well atleast they don't for a guy. I guess I must be the exception as a guy, because everyone who knows me, knows that I always make great points, because I am good at thorougly analyzung situations and looking at the situation from every perspective or angle. And piecing it all together for a well-analyzed conclusion; therefore, interpreting it well. So, I get my point across well, and it is even proof for my online classes where I have the best grades from discussions. So, how do like them apples. Nice generalizations there (sarcasm).

Because a lot of men are weak. They can't take the nagging so they let the women win and them tune out of the conversation. Most can't keep up when some women will try to change the story of what happened in the past to try to confuse guys into feeling they did something wrong when they didn't really do anything. Some guys assume the woman is always right due to low self-esteem, and just give in to what ever she says. And some guys just say to themselves, "she sure is pretty", and let her say what every she wants.

As a man who's had many debates with many people (and girlfriends), I've seen many tricks people do and I've learned how to be very attentive in arguments so that it's easy for me to point out when someones full of sh*t in their arguement. Most men are too lazy for that, but I don't like people trying to win an arguemnet by trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I see the wool coming before they even pull down.

In the end, I just want the truth out of arguements, not bullsh*t, and I won't stand for the bull.

I haven't seen this to be true at all.
I have seen men who simply decide not to argue a point for several reasons, but that does not mean the woman won anything except a view of the man's back.
But, in my world, men are too aggressive to ever concede a fight once begun and women tend to lose most often because they don't have the stamina for the type of fight a man wages.

In my case, I win most of the time because I tend to think in terms of right and wrong, and my husband thinks in terms of winning or losing the argument. He is either on the offense or the defense, and I am always arguing the rights and the wrongs, pros and cons. If he is losing his case, he becomes angry and defensive, and I don't.

If it is a situation where there is no right and wrong, just personal preference, like a tv show, I usually just let him have what he wants, because it isn't worth the argument.

I think women "win" (as if thats possible when you destroy your relationship over something like an arguement), most arguements because men give up on it, when they realize they arent being heard, so they just tune the woman out and either nod, or say "your right", and then they go right on to doing something else like watching TV. Then the woman feels like she has won an arguement.

women are trained from childhood to be social and verbal creatures, but men are often discouraged from freely and openly speaking. this means that when a man and a woman argue, the man is thinking about what the woman just said and the woman is thinking about 3 steps ahead.

Men think literally and women think more emotionally. We take more time to make decisions and think about things than they do. They tend to answer quickly instead of thinking things through. They have a greater chance of sticking their foot in their mouths and we end up winning! Slow and steady thinking wins the race to win an argument!
