It's becoming more and more of a problem for me. I love hiking and doing things outdoors, but while others enjoy beautiful views from a high point, I can't even look because it makes me feel dizzy and sick. I also can't look out windows in airplanes, can't climb stairs that are too open, etc. How can I get over this?

an older male role model in my life that i really like and look up to recently told me he's having a baby with his wife. i never thought he'd have kids. but now i just can't get my mind off of it and it actually had made me cry. i don't know why but i feel upset over the issue and i don't want to feel sad about it anymore. even thinking about him caring for a cute little baby makes me melt inside. i dont want to feel sad or even left out...but saying that makes me feel incredibly selfish. what can i do to just be happy for him and not be sad over the fact he's having a baby??

Hi.. I went to this clinic today that gives therapy courses on how to reach your subconcious mind to know what exactly causes you pain & etc... it's called the "Fourth Method of unlocking the subconcious mind r'somethin".. not sure bout the FOURTH spelling though,, it's supposed to be the name of the guy who invented this..,, anyways..

Does anyone know anything about this? any info would be helpful,
And, what is it called? gimme the key word I have to google, coz I'm soo new to this.. n'it seems interesting ...

I'll tell ya abit more bout what the shrink asked us to do, 1st he asked us to relax n'clear our minds, then think of something that effects us in the present, then gave us magazines n'asked us to cut up 4pictures we feel we relate to & paste them on a peice of paper n'draw or write anything else we want. Then he started analysing our work n'etc... what is this called & is there another artistic way to tell how a person feels?

+any helpful sites?!
thnx alottttt

I've tried everything, art, music, writing, programming, making a website, sports, et cetera. I'm not attractive either Everyone I know is good at something, while I'm either bad or mediocre. The only things I'm somewhat decent at are Dance Dance Revolution and finding random funny crap online. Is there some kind of mental disorder that might cause an inability to grasp concepts that make one useful to society?

I am looking at a CompUSA ad that came in todays paper. The ad lists a Monster Cable 2 Meter HDMI cable for $99.99, Reg $119.99 save $20 instantly.

You can buy similar cables for about $10. Since these cables transfer digital signals, they either work or they don't. The performance of the $10 cable is the same as the $120 cable.

I need some advice. I know usually when I do something that I consider wrong I remember it for a long time and usually for the most part remember the details. So a month ago I almost did something really bad (its like unusual for me to ever consider doing something this wrong--something was like pushing me to) and i remember rushing home scared. Its been a bout a month now later and I still look back at that day wondering whether I actually did do what I didnt intend to do. Wouldnt I remember if I did something wrong? Isnt it really hard to forget something like that because I usually remember things. How am I ever supposed to know? I dont recall doing anything wrong--in fact i remember what i did that day such as go to college and work. I dont want to live thinking I did something wrong if I never did! Please--any comments

I've been reading a little about neuro linguistic programming and would like to learn a little more. I understand it is the basis upon which Derren Brown performs much of his work, for example where he stood in a shopping centre with a megaphone and 'made' about 300 people put their hands up simultaenously just by emphasizing ceratin words in his sentences.

On another occassion, he made a group of girls (Psychology students themselves, if I remember correctly) roll up their coat sleeves on a freezing cold, snowy day just by saying standing on a stall and shouting something to the effect of:

"Roll Up! Roll Up!... There's nothing up my sleeve... Do it now!"

Surely it can't be as simple as these examples would appear, but I'd really appreciate any information you could provide me with.

Thanks.

I hum!

I hum ALL the time, and I am driving myself crazy!

I hum when I eat, I hum when I am watching TV, I hum when I am on the phone. I hum when I'm driving, working, bathing, trying to nap, playing tag with my snooze alarm, working in the yard, and in between my own sentences when talking to others.

I am humming now while I write this, and I will be humming later while you read it. If I'm awake, I am humming.

I've been doing it for years and I have tried to stop but I can't. The instant I stop monitoring myself and saying 'don't hum, don't hum...' I start humming again.
How common is that?
What causes it?
Is it some kind of nervous tic?
How can I STOP?!? Any thoughts or advice would be welcome.

Is it gold? I mean a piece of paper seems like a lot to us today but back in the 1800s it was very controversial. And American coins arn't made of copper and nickel anymore, right?

it works with any one I have ever tried. And I have care about them in some level.. and I might have thought I am in love with very few of those man too. I used to pick a guy from the crowd who thinks he is all that and a player make him fall in love and back off giving him a test of his medicine.. anyway recently I met someone and for the first time I feel I am really in love and it is scaring me a lot. When I am not with him I think about him all the time and I miss him madly. But when I am with him I find it very hard to let him know how I feel and I feel like I got time maybe later and then at the end of the date I feel bad for taking too much time and leaving him a bet confuse if he is a friend or more. And I always feel the butterflies.. when I want to call him.. dialing the number like over and over till I finally hit the on button on the phone..

any advice how I can fight these feelings?

My parents haven't worked in about 12 years. If I meet someone I really like what should I tell him. I'm afraid he will judge me because of my parents. In my cuture woman usually don't work and my father hasn't worked for certain reasons. What should i tell people when they ask me what my parents do. I'm tired of lying. My parents tell em not to tell the truth. They will find out eventually.

My boss is always asking me for advice because I happen to be more knowledgable than him. He gets all the credit and I get little recognition. Even the supervisor praises him and I'm never acknowledged. I've tried to act dumb, but the boss won't buy it, and just gets mad. I can't quit. What should I do?

I am a 30yo gay male (in case that is relevant)

I have my fair share of adult-themed dreams but have noticed that I always, and mean always wake up before their is an "ending." Is this normal for these type of dreams to never finish, and any logical reasoning behind such dreams?

I'm 15, cut and injure myself, and often have suicidal thoughts and tendencies. I also have a lot of anger in me, and fight with my dad a lot. For a little while now, I've been wanting to get better, but because I'm not in driver's ed yet and don't have a car, I can't really get any counseling (though I would probably have a hard time talking to someone else about this stuff face to face), or get any medication for it. Also, I'm not sure how I could even get any of that since a bill would probably be sent to my home or be put on my dad's account or bill or whatever at the doctors.

Is there anything I can do to help myself without my dad knowing?
