I need some advice. I know usually when I do something that I consider wrong I remember it for a long time and usually for the most part remember the details. So a month ago I almost did something really bad (its like unusual for me to ever consider doing something this wrong--something was like pushing me to) and i remember rushing home scared. Its been a bout a month now later and I still look back at that day wondering whether I actually did do what I didnt intend to do. Wouldnt I remember if I did something wrong? Isnt it really hard to forget something like that because I usually remember things. How am I ever supposed to know? I dont recall doing anything wrong--in fact i remember what i did that day such as go to college and work. I dont want to live thinking I did something wrong if I never did! Please--any comments

If you don't have the memory of doing anything wrong or bad, then you probably didn't, unless you have a depersonalization disorder. I used to know a person who was obsessive compulsive with many thoughts about doing something bad or saying something bad, but he never did it. He just had an impulse or urge to do it and worried all day long about actually doing it. He was diagnosed with an obsessive compulsive disorder. If this is a one time experience for you I would'nt worry about it. I think all of us at one point or another have had the urge to do or say something inappropriate. I was in church one time and had the sudded urge to shout a profanity, but I didn't, even though the urge was there. This is something a person with Tourette's disorder is likely to do, however. Sometimes human thoughts and behavior are unexplainable, that is, when the behavior has not become habitual or recurrent.

Yes, I think you would remember what you did. The subconscious is not as selective as we wish it to be. You sound stressed and maybe the strings are pulled a little too tight. Learn deep breathing and take some time to wind down. You may be a perfectionist or a moralist, but you write like a nice, loveable person. I would bet whatever you think you may have done, did not take place. You need to release some of that pressure. @8-)

The main thing is you have to develop a spiritual relationship with your creator who is situated in your heart. He knows your heart and knows your intention. So pray to Him to kindly forgive any misgiving or wrong doing and that you don't want to do anything wrong. Just give it up- give it to Him and then let it go. That is the process of spirituality. But not that one goes and does bad things again and again and asks for forgiveness again and goes and does it again. That is the fanatical process. But you know what I mean. For More universal truths on spirituality, go to harekrishnatemple.c Read Bhagavad Gita as it is by Bhaktivedana Prabhupada- tells the purpose and meaning of human life.

listen to your heart. if it bothers you, then you could ask the people you were with. maybe you did it, and because you knew it was wrong, you block it out. maybe you didnt, and because you didnt you just trynot to remember the details. i do the same thing. i messed up really badly with a guy i dated, and i still think about it to this day, and then about 3 months ago, i was driving on a wet road, and i almost totaled my car, and to this day i cant remember any parts of that accident. i blocked it out because i did something bad, but it could havebeen worse and i dont want to remember it ahppening. i also think that it has something to do with your blood pressure. wheneveri get really worked up, i find that it is significantly harder to remember things. good luck!! :)

I have the same exact thing. Sometimes I'll be thinking of something that I try so hard to stop thinking of, then i'll just like try and do something or say something to make it go away.

HOPE WE GET BETTER. PEACE BE UPON YOU.

I suggest you see a therapist who can do some type of hypnosis on you to help you relive that specific moment you seem to have blocked out.

Just peacefully sit and meditate and suggest to yourself that you will in time
recall what actually happened... and in any case you should meditate..... you sound a
little fershiggled. So, take it easy.

Peace & Love

Well it is hard to answer this question when you don't tell us what it is that you did.

Did you kill someone?
Did you steal someones boyfriend?
Did you shoplift a candy bar?
