What are British upper middle-class people all about? In what kind of neighbourhoods would they reside? What are some typical occupations they would be employed at? What sort of cars do they prefer? What type of leisure activities are they primarily interested in? Which newspapers and magazines do they read? What kind of names do they give their kids? What sort of foods do they like? Where would they go on holiday? What sort of range in salary would they earn per year?

I find it very hard to deal with these types of people...their sense of reality is skewed, and their prohibitions are lowered. They don't realize some of the stuff they're saying is hurtful, or some of the things they're doing is hurtful and a lot of them end up alone.

Of course, I'm not saying EVERY person with ADHD is like this (Ty Pennington for example) but a lot of them can be.

How do you deal with people like this?

im 23 years old. i have friends, been in relationships and am a likable person. but i cant stand myself! the way i look, i think im way to big when everyone of my friends says im not, and my family, but when i look in the mirror i see fat and i hate what i see! im the person who is always laughing and joking, so people wouldnt expect this feeling from me. but i have been this way for a long time, some days are good and some are terrible, its when im by myself or i see myself that i get down. i just wandered why someone would feel this way and does this feeling go away? and i will learn to love ,yself so i can be more happy or what? i know this is a stupid question when other people have way worse problems! but i thought i would ask. thank you

I heard that they are like that because they are either born with brain damage or a head injury can cause them to turn that way.

When I was 15 years old, I had a dream I was in an oddly shaped room, which had very large mirrors for walls. The floor was completely covered with snow and there were these white trees everywhere.
The trees had no leaves but they did have some very large fruits that kind of looked like really big white pears. The higher-most ones had blood coming out of them.
I fell on my back in the snow, and a voice told me something about this being the "Hall of Innocence", and that if I wanted to look at my past I should look inside the mirror straight ahead. So I looked, and I just saw myself. I thought, "Look INSIDE the mirror..." and then I bashed my head into it, breaking the thin glass, and looked inside out of curiosity.
I saw some woods, but these were the woods where I had lost my virginity to my first boyfriend. I had just broken up with him so I didn't want to see anymore. I started running away, and then I woke up.
What does it all mean??

Can someone give me an explanation for why some people strongly dislike other people for no obvious reason. E.g a few years ago I met a person (who I hardly knew) who hated me, e.g stole my things wrote my name on walls, thew drinks at me. This did not bother me, as I hardly knew the person and I know I did nothing to upset them, so it wasn't my problem if they didn't like me. But the thing I am interested in is what makes people hate other people for no aparant reason? Has something like this ever happened to you?

Something has been bugging me lately. I just turned 20 recently and I started thinking back on my childhood and how it seemed to last forever. It seemed like time went a lot slower back then. A year back then seems equivalent to about 2 or 3 years now. I'm just wondering, does everyone experience this? Does time continue to get faster? Why does time get faster?

Man, being 20 sucks.

There isn't anyone alive that isn't flawed in one way or another. I find it absurd that a flawed individual would sit in judgment on another flawed individual, instead of being understanding and compassionate? If nothing more, at least being able to relate to the same trials and tribulations facing us all.

We would be living in a better world if we were less punitive and more forgiving of everyone else's flaws.

I'm in high school and I know people who are very crooked, and complicated with lots of twists and turns personality wise. My family's a bit complicated mentally (bad history), and I have to be extra careful and sensitive, also acting much older than my supposed teenage expectation.
However, as I'm maturing, I meet better friends and they happen to be trustworthy, straight forwards, forgiving, nice, and simple. I'm not used to it. I'm also not used to relaxing very much, and I'm occasionally overly serious.
It's hard for me to blend with my new growing number of friends and learn how to deal with things on a logical and simple scale.
What can I do to learn how to trust and be less sensitive?

How come, in this modern age of women's liberation, there are still women who have no income of their own, and are totally dependent on their husband for all of their money?

Why would anybody want to live like that? Why would a woman want to have no money of her own, and have to ask her husband for money? Why would a woman not want to have her own job and her own money?
