I think I'm becoming a sociopath, I can no longer feel empathy anymore. I mimic other peoples behavior, I charm people and I get people. Although I still sometimes retain my morals, I don't exploit people or do overtly destructive things. Although I do drink, and smoke, I feel those self destructive things are aiding to my detachment from my emotions. I don't know what to do, all my hobbies are ....... not interesting anymore.

There is not one single case when a group of people were granted equal rights just out of a sense of justice, or because of "peaceful resistance." In every case there was violence and the threat of more violence.

Considering it's human nature not to give up on one's group privileges, isn't it accurate to say that the only way to produce real change is through violent methods?

I really don't have problems with it. But I want it to get better and better! I'm not contented with a mediocre social life. I want fame! Anyway, in my current social life, I'm just being myself. I got tons of pals that I can hang out with, but it's never enough.

I know to really be considered upper-middle class, one usually needs to be educated beyond a Bachelors Degree and work in a profession such as a doctor, lawyer, university professor, architect, or be a high level manager or own a large business. However, these people are usually in simmilar income brackets which affords them the opportunity to live a lifestyle somewhat rich in luxury and enough disposable income to buy more freedom and independence most working-class or middle-class don't enjoy. Again, I am not speaking of the wealthy here; rather I am discussing the upper-middle class or what is sometimes called the professional-managerial class. What income levels in America would put somebody within this classes range of lifestyle in an average American city. I know New York, Boston, Frisco and LA would be significantly higher than say places like Chicago or Detroit, but a simple range would be great. Thanks!

Sight and interpretation is a matter of efficiency. We (or our brains) must understand what we are seeing as fast as possible...

1. When you pay attention to something, the observed object looks clear, and any surrounding object looks kind of blurry.

2. We store memories of how things look, so when we look at something we don't waste time analyzing it, but rather unsusual details jump to our attention.

Any other?

I am currently 18 years old, in art highschool of painting category, I never had a real girlfriend (like the one to feel that nothing can go wrong and to experience that kind of feeling when you would die for her) just stupid girlies that were either 2-3 years youger then me...anyways...When I was first a freshman in highschool I wasn't thinking too much like many young boys are...but then I was into the same classroom with an old friend of mine who opened my mind to many things but I think that I wasn't prepared for them yet...like studying people, how life works, stuff like this...I realised that life is bad...two years later I made a group of so called "friends" who I had nothing in common with them especially one who made me feel like crap most of the time when I made a mistake or something. I stayed with them cause I currently had no friends and wanted to belong...I was feeling kind of stupid...I began to ignore my drawing and painting and my studies...to be continued on details !

From experience Psychology nearly destroyed my life, why trust this pseudo Science? Psychology actually derives from Greek Psyche meaning Soul or Spirit and Logos meaning the study of and so the word Psychology means litterally the study of the spirit but this profession denies the existance of the spirit. How can you study something you deny? Why trust the practice of Psychology when it is in fact Pseudo Psychology?

I dont know if you find this strange or not, but every time I wake up in the morning I wonder what my life is going to be like, how i'll do in my degree course, where I'll be living, what sort of woman i marry or if I ever do, whether I'll be succesful financially or struggling, if I'll have a good job or be just a loser with nothing or will i live a peaceful life or will people just cause trouble for me etc

sometimes i just feel angry and sad at times, you know like sometimes I try hard to achieve things but do not succeed, ie exams, assignments and when concentrating in lectures, the lecturer says Im not and i feel that most people just hate me.

About a year ago i met this guy from work &we quickly became friends. He was very nice and different from other guys. We would hang out a lot as friends, even alone in my house &he even had a gf but she didnt mind. He was like a brother/best friend to me and i only saw him as a friend. One night when i had an emotional brokedown at a bar with him i was crying the whole night on his shoulder because of my ex-boyfriend who i had broken up with. I was very drunk and vulnerable. He came over and got his way with me even when i tried to stop him a lot of times. He basically raped me u can say. After that he talked to me for maybe two more times and we just stopped talking. He went to being one of my closest friends to nbothing at all. Its been a year and that day has still stuck with me and hurt me a lot, ive become very depressed actually. I still have his brother's cell number, and his house number (he doesnt have a cell) and im pondering on whether to call bc i have so many questions

My parents divorced 8 years ago and I have been so unsettled in life ever since. I was very close to my dad and he is now living 3000kms away with his wife (the woman he had the affair with). My mother has changed a lot and now lives with my sister as she can't bear to be on her own. She has lost her enthusiasm for life. I have my own family but I feel like the extended family is lost. I feel like I am searching for something. We have moved towns and houses a lot since the divorce and I don't stay at a job any longer than 6 months whereas I used to have a very good job history prior. I feel like my own children are suffering and I really need to get on with my life but I am really hurting still. We have decided to stay put in the town we are in now because my children have started school so I think that I have had time to think and reflect on what has been really happening. Please help me get on with my life!!
