Quiet confidence doesn't necessarily mean fake. It could one of humility, self assurance, and comfort. They feel they don't have to explain themselves to anybody. Ergo, no need to show off or boasts.

You can have confidence in who you are without being fake. Every person should get to know themselves well enough and learn to accept themselves, warts and all, for who they are because no one is perfect. If you are being the best person you can be, accept yourself and others and are continually trying to do better, then a quiet confidence will come naturally.
Adversely, a person who is fake has no self-confidence whatsoever and are trying to portray themselves other than what they really are.

why be fake if you got quiet confidence? seems that you know who you are, what you are and what you can do and do not feel the need to brag about it. Where's the fake part?

I understand what you're saying. And it's easier to be genuine than it is to be fake, just stay positive.
By genuine i mean actually listen to people and respond with whatever is in everyone's best interest, and if that's fake for you then please be fake.
