Archaeological and genetic evidence support the theory that our species originated in Africa. This means that all humans have African ancestors. Presumably those earliest humans had dark skin. So whoever you are, your ancestors were black.

Yeah. Humanity's origins have been traced backed to Africa. The earliest people were probably black, as darker skin is an advantage in sunnier climates, like Africa.
You may even have more recent ancestors that were black. There are no "pure" races, as most of them had at least some contact with the others. For instance, many people of Spanish ancestry probably have black ancestry as well, considering how close Spain is to Africa and how much contact there was between the two areas.

Actually scientist lean toward the theory that all man came from Adam and Eve who lived in what is now Iraq and Iran and that their children later moved to Africa and then into the rest of the world. I agree with the previous post about the skin pigments changing as people migrated.
It is also possible that there might have been people on the Earth aside from Adam and Eve later on such as the Celts and the Vikings but it is strongly suggested that since these people didn't come into play until a few thousand years after Adam and Eve that their descendants just moved to these places and called themselves by these names.
Most scientist lean toward the idea that all people come from Adam and Eve and originate from Iraq or Iran but this is just a theory that is still up for debate.

All Humans originated in Africa, White people developed afterwards in colder climates such as Europe and Asia. Everybody's ancestors were probably black, does that make you feel better or worse? Personally I don't care what color they were

Early humans evolved from a common ancestor millions of years ago. Much of human evolution occurred in Africa - scientific evidence (i.e. the fossil record and artifacts) suggests this. Our ancestors weren't necessarily black. Early humans had ape-like features and adapted to inhabit the African continent for a long period of time.

I think that it is funny that the whitest of white redneck racist has indellible DNA that originated in Africa. In fact, DNA evidence suggests that some East Africans are more closely related to Europeans than the are to some west Africans; that is, migration to Europe may have occurred before humans spread to the whole of Africa.

Yes they were. There are two theories the black people went to Europe then their skins became lighter over time. Another theory is that white people are descendents of African albinos who traveled to Europe that developed even more white characteristics. I believe the second theory.

Not only were they black once, but possibly twice! If you have Indo-European blood, it is likely that your people lightened in skin tone as they ascended into Northern Asia, but darkened up again as they migrated south into the Indus River Region, and they lightened up again when going North again into Europe!
