How have pharmaceutical companies changed since their introduction with the advent of manufactured drugs? What possible dangers can arise in the future from their rapid growth?

Thanks much!

When I asked a question earlier, people wrote me that I was stuck up for not liking to be bothered in public. Don't talk to me, don't come extra close to me if i don't know you - that's how i feel.

But people were responding that I was stuck up and calling me worse names. That's the way i was raised, my parents are like that too...but is that bad?

Is this a bad personality trait to not want to be bothered by people you don't know?

Men and Women are two equal beings one complementing the other...Yes there are evil people in the world (of both genders).
Please explain, for this boggles my mind.... I watch TV where the female confesses to crime against her partner, while the presenter tries to convince her that it was the victim's fault (a male in this case) when the story the female states is very obvious...Please explain...Thank you for taking time...

By any measurable means, the current generation of Americans has it better than previous generations. Our work days are easier and shorter, our houses are bigger, our health is better, our lives are longer, we have unbelievable access to travel and information, we make more money (inflation adjusted), we have more stuff, etc. than previous generations.

So why do so many believe things are so bad, or that these are the worst of times. Is it guilt, lack of perspective, lack of spirituality, constant negativity from the media, or something else?

By the way, if you dispute my idea that we are more prosperous than before, please look at the census data linked below that shows all income groups better off than in the past.

The past few nights I have been dreaming about different celebrities trying to hurt me. I don't know what that is about! And it's celebs that I haven't seen/paid attention to in a while.

Last night, I dreamed that Will Smith tried to ruin my career by spreading gossip about me where I work. The night before, I dreamed that Anna Nicole Smith tried to drown me in a creek, and then the night before that, Nicole Kidman was chasing me(I have no idea why, I just kept running from her).

I am so confused. I have never had a dream of a celebrity that I recognized. What's this about????

There is an octopus called the mimic octopus that when it sees a predator changes into the image of there predators predator in a split second.

If that fails it changes again. (Footage available on any search engine) it's truly amazing.

However if a 'non intelligent' life form can respond that quickly to a predator is it not conceivable that humans do the same based on body language.

For example if a wimpy guy approaches a girl she can change her persona into a 'hard and cold' person immediately to scare him off.

Your views please, and oh you must check out the octopus

Income equality is like mission impossible for every country, developped or underdevelopped...we consider a country's economic policy effective if it can keep the gap as narrow as possible, since there's no way the gap would be completely closed. But apparently there are many countries in the world, despite of their efforts, still can't close the gap a bit...So I am wondering what are the top 10 countries that have widest income gap, or greatest income inequality...

I have a question to those who, by chose or circumstance, live "simply" (beautifully, I say)--with few possessions, in a rich, peaceful, satisfied life. My question is this: what things do you own? I.E., a few pairs of clothes, a bag, a brush...What is your day like? You see, I am intending to begin this sort of lifestyle and I am looking for a sensible example to follow and also, to know what it looks like. Thanks a lot.

Any advice?

I am really asking. The impulse to hit the button reminds me of the impulse to drink or smoke. It gives me the same feeling of total, almost vertiginous surrender. The feeling is so pleasant that it alters my behaviour, it seems.
