There is a genuine problem with the continued minting of coins, in that it costs more to make each individual coin that the coin is worth.

And I just read on Yahoo news that, conversely, coins are worth more melted down than their face value.

If this is the case, why not switch to just making molded coins out of plastic? Or plexiglass? Or any cheap, tough material?

Sure it'd be out of bounds of tradition, but would it solve the problem?

Okay, I read so many books in the past, but I can remember only 5 titles I've read... The Lottery Rose, Star Wars:Star by Star, Bruce Lee: Commentary on the Martial Way, Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

If you asked me now about the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, I can tell you everything about it, and the same goes for the Goblet of Fire and the other books I've mentioned, but if you ask me if I read this book, and the title sounds familiar to me... I'll be like, "Ugh, I've read it before, but I forgot what it was about." It makes me mad, because I've read the book before, and my memory can't recently comprehend it... is it because when the brain learns newer things, it tends to forget some stuff in the past? I hope I worded that right. LOL

I'm often very aware of what someone is feeling emotionally. I know that by body language you can nomally tell if someone is distressed, especially if you are close to them emotionally. But I experience this with everyone. I can tell if they are stressed, mad, depressed, happy...a range of emotion. I can also sense why it is they are feeling that way. I myself feel what they are feeling at times, and it seems to be more prevelant with the stronger emotions, like anger, sadness, and depression. I also have dreams about events and they will come true, although not always the very next day. Most of the time they seem to be everyday actions I'm performing, like cooking a meal or talking to someone. Then a few weeks later I'll be doing that exact thing. What I'm wondering is how I can hone my abilities and use them to help people.

You want to be humble in the Christian sense and help when others need help but you don't want to be a doormat. You want to to take charge of a situation but you don't want to be seen as agressive. You want to change things that you don't like in your job but you don't want to be seen as a snob. How do you change the impression of being a snob into one of a trusted leader who can tackle any challenge? Your answers will help a philisohpical discussion we are having-- What advice would you give someone who is agressive, leading, take charge personality that gives off the air of a snob if all you wanted to change was the snob but not the can-do attitude?

Someone once said that all great movies are either about death or sex. Motivating someone through fear of death is immoral. Motivation people by awarding them with sex is, of course, difficult, because both parties have to be willing.

What else is there?

People are motivated by awards like the Nobel Prizes and Olympic medals. People who play online video games are motivated to keep playing by the points and levels they achieve, along with other things, like being able to do and see new things. How would you design a system that makes use of these alternative motivations to get things done?
