When I asked a question earlier, people wrote me that I was stuck up for not liking to be bothered in public. Don't talk to me, don't come extra close to me if i don't know you - that's how i feel.
But people were responding that I was stuck up and calling me worse names. That's the way i was raised, my parents are like that too...but is that bad?
Is this a bad personality trait to not want to be bothered by people you don't know?

no. i dont think it is. i do the same thing. if i dont know you and you're a complete stranger, leave me alone. don't act like you know me or anything because you dont. now, if you want help with something or just to say hi, then yea, thats cool. and personally, i dont like people in general. they're rude, inconsiderate, selfish, and two faced. i can recall numerous times of different people who said they were my "friends" and did me wrong. i dont have very many friends either. i've got my best ones and the ones i KNOW i can trust. thats all i need. so no, you're not stuck up. you like your personal space and want it to be respected, and thats cool. as a matter of fact, 2 of my best and closest friends share the same trait. my best guy friend and his girlfriend who is the biggest sweetheart you'll ever meet. so piss on the people who think you're stuck up. cuz i'll bet regardless of your personality trait, you're a sweetheart to.

It is sorta insensitive because you will never know when YOU will need to approach a total stranger for assistance for any reason.
I guess the question to you would be..."What makes you so special that you think you should not be approached in public?" I am not being rude, just really asking the question I am sure so many others have on their minds as well.
It is nothing to extend a smile or say a kind word to someone, especially someone you dont know. A warm smile just might make someone's day. You never know what people are going through.
Are you religious because angels will come to you as total strangers as well just to test your compassion for others, and you cannot serve God is you are not compassionate towards your fellow man.

is your chose what to do , is OK to be aware.
but i don't think that staying in a bus station you can do anything about this , if you fell uncomfortable you have to stay distant.
try to analyze your friends and see if you are overreacting or is a normal thing.
and about the people you don't know!! is good not to accept to be bothered on the streets or any place.
if they ask you to tell them what the time is , i think that would be polite to answer them , this is not a possible menace.

Meh, it depends if they're being freindly, then yes, sorry :/ but you should see the bright side of it, usualy it means they're trying to hit on you.
But i do understand sometimes you just can't be bothered then it gets annoying, but for the most part feel good about yourself it means you're hot. :)

I suppose it sounds a bit radical but, if you are not comfortable with strangers......best to be the way you are than a nervous wreck.......do what are comfortable with........
