I think the reason we feel that pleasure is cause we are looking for that fault that will make us feel, that we are better, higher or nicer than the other.

I think that we'd be just as pleased, if not more so, to see faults in others if we had none of our own. It would give us an even greater feeling of superiority. I highly doubt that we as humans would take pity on another human for being flawed if we ourselves had none.

i concur. according my husband i am the worst woman in the world. he can sit with u and tell u everything that "i do" wrong. he seems to think he does things right and told me so. he also in other words told me he was better than me.
