I always expect the worst to happen to me and as a result I end up being too careful, avoiding risks. Lately, I have started to wonder that I may keep the bad things out but I also prevent the good ones from coming in.

I've notice that some people like to talk, talk but not listen. is it that their minds are a certain way or is it b/c they're just concerned about themselve?

My friend have become very close over the past year even though she went behind my back and kissed my boyfriend. I forgave her and even thanked her for showing me I couldn't trust him, but I do still resent her and I feel bad about that. I don't want to hate her but she has been mean to me lately. She is constantly picking fights and when I say anything she tries to point out how I am in the wrong. She knows she was wrong to kiss my boyfriend and she even told me later that she liked him even though she knew I was in LOVE with him. I still am even though we aren't together anymore. I don't think I want to be friends with her anymore and I feel terrible about that. Am I wrong to not want to talk to her like a used to and if I 'm not how do I stop talking to her with out hurting her feelings?

PTSD sufferers are known to respond uncontrollably if a subsequent similar circumstance arises, until the crisis is dealt with. People with a dissociative identity may be taken over in similar circumstances. Certain research indicates that about 85% of DID cases arise from trauma in early childhood and the remaining cases all have a common factor of (probably inappropriate) attempts at therapy.
The differences between PTSD reaction & DID appear to be 1) the awareness or otherwise of the subject 2) the length of time the subject takes to deal with the crisis.
Is there an objective boundary between PTSD & DID?
What other defined differences exist between DID & PTSD?

Is it okay to see a psychiatrist or a counselor even if you know you don't have many problems? I come from a nice family, with A's ands B's in school, I'm still just 14, but nothing seems to feel satisfactory and I always have thoughts of suicide and a hopeless future. I don't wanna seem like I'm complaining about life since there isn't really anything wrong, but I don't know why I feel so depressed all of the time.

Most feminists I know just want the same opportunities as men. Many have male friends, good manners, intelligent opinions, and indepentent lives. They are also feminine.

.
Some are angry, but certainly not all.

So many people assume otherwise when the word feminist is used.

I am 23. I never had a girlfriend or even a friend that is a female. I currently have no male friends. I never went on a date or had my first kiss. I never even held hands with a female. I DO like females. I never went to a prom, homecoming dance or a winter formal. I never went to a girl's party or over a girls house. I am not sure why. How do you feel about this?

I felt this was the best area to post this for everyone's feelings on it.
