This is a question that my Psychology professor wants our class to answer. I'm really confused over this one and wanted to hear what other people thought. I know its very vague and brood but please let me know any thoughts out there on this question.

I know I have soo many issues I need to get resolved(my father, abuse,etc...), to talk about and get help with. My problem is not only can I not afford therapy but I'm also too ashamed to go.

Are there any kind of support groups or anything online that might help me out with having someone to talk to?

I have found and am currently reading "The Sociopath Next Door" and "The Ice People" from the Feb '05 issue of Psychology Today. I'm not finding a lot more aside from definitions of antisocial disorder from the DSRM and Enclyclopedias. Anyone know of any other good books I should look at? Thanks.

Everytime someone slaps me or hurts me, even if it doesnt hurt that much I cry. And I cry really hard a lot of the times, kind of hysterically. Could this be some kind of result from being abused as a child?

What is the best way to get them of their pedestal?Usually when a guy on their level ignores them it pisses them off and they get a taste of their own medicine.

At one point in my life, I would focus on the negative side of things in a misguided effort to be truthful. I developed depression. When I started to focus on the things that were both true and positive, it pretty much went away.

I have never really had a particular affinity or distaste for food… (maybe certain ones but overall…) Food to me has always been to me more or less a biological necessity and function. I have had a very sporadic schedule with work school sports extra curricular activities my whole life and thus my eating schedule is just as sporadic I eat when my body tells me it needs energy however when I am preoccupied I often forget to for longer than normal periods. I was in a car accident in May and my car was so tiny even with my seatbelt my head cracked the windshield causing all sorts of lacerations and a concussion but no brain injury was evident. However, the experience was very traumatic for me physically and emotionally and since then I think my weird eating habits far more severe at times then before. There was a time I had such a tight schedule for I forgot to eat for 3 days I probably had ample time to do so but my brain wasn’t telling me I needed to… does that sound like a problem?

I'm obsessed in my mind with people respecting me, admirating me, and praising me. And most of the time if I get that acknowledgment, I don't truly appreciate it, I don't care. How do I satisfy my ego?
