Everytime someone slaps me or hurts me, even if it doesnt hurt that much I cry. And I cry really hard a lot of the times, kind of hysterically. Could this be some kind of result from being abused as a child?

Im not being abused now. I was just refering to small things like sometimes when I am working( i work with 2 kids as a nanny) one of them might slap me because they arent old enough to know better yet, and I'll cry. Its stupid because it was just a little kid and it only burned a bit but for some reason it just upsets so much.
I do still get slapped by my brother once in a while because he is an a$$ but I live 800 miles from him now so its not very often

i do the same thing. your have a lot of feelings and your feelings are being hurt. i hate to say this but if you have when some one hits you don't think about crying or how much it hurt think about how ticked off you are and look them in the eye and say IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO! then protect your self. it seems that some people enjoy making people cry. after being hit so many times i don't get sad any more i just get angry

EVERYTIME? dear friend; How often are you being slapped, why are you allowing it and why are you still in the situation? You do NOT deserve to be punished. if you were abused as a child you may believe that you have done something that makes you deserve to be hurt and that is wrong you have done NOTHING NO ONE DESERVES TO BE ABUSED IN ANYWAY. you're crying because you are hurting physically and you are hurting even more emotionally. get out of any situation where you are being abused, call the cops, call a shelter, but get out of the situation.and talk to someone about the child abuse and the abuse you are suffering at the present.if you are a minor CALL THE POLICE

Were you abused as a child and define what you mean by abuse would be my first step in determining your dilemma. It also may not be abuse - did your family cry a lot over various issues when you were growing up? It could also be something physical like various foods like onions or potent herbs. My first guess is that it almost sounds like a "cognitive" psychological ordeal. It could be any number of things that I cannot possibly determine off the top of my head- for example, did certain movies make you cry when you were growing up that made you cry while someone tapped you on the shoulder at the same time?

Yes, you could be reacting to the emotional pain from abuse. Why are people slapping or hurting you anyway? Go talk to someone you trust about the issue. It may help just to talk about it. You may also have depression from being abused. Go to see a psychiatrist or counselor if you have been abused.

as a child. dont know. but now. yes, you are being abused. you say everytime somone slaps you like thats allowed. no-one is allowed to slap you, if they do its abuse, so dont cry, report them to police. In australia there is a national campaign: "To violence against women, Australia says no." get help.

What thoughts or feelings go through your head immediately after getting hurt? I think that could give you a clue what is going on..
