If it's someone trying to sell windows, I just tell them I'm renting. They hang up.
If it's junkmail, I write 'deceased' on it and send it back. They also take me off their mailing list.

I used to work as a telemarketer and funnily enough, the best way to get rid of them is actually to say no I'm not interested, I know shocking isn't it, because if you don't, they, by law, can call you back. People would constantly tell me they were busy and I would just call them later on, even though I know nothing will come of it, I try to teach them a lesson.
And seriously, it's actually quite smart to be nice to them because remember they're the one with your details not the other way around and I know people that hassle the ppl that treat them like crap, yeah it's against the law but so is speeding...

That is a good funny idea. It reminds me of the time this guy was going door to door selling meat and went to my brother's house. He had the guy bring everything inside from his truck to show it to him then he told the guy he didn't want anything. The guy was very mad!
