I've notice that some people like to talk, talk but not listen. is it that their minds are a certain way or is it b/c they're just concerned about themselve?

well, maybe first they are just about themselves, second, they don't know how to listen - they need to be taught it, and maybe some peple just don't want to listen!
I know it is frusteraiting when people don't listen, they just "hear" and keep talking so they don't understand and give feedback to what you are saying.

Sometimes, if a really hard event occurs in your life, you will become shy. Your brain is stunned, and virtually destroyed. Some other people are just made that way. I think it's a little selfish to expect to be listened to but not return the favor. I think when people talk and don't listen, it's because they are trying to prove how smart they think they are.

Some people are very nervous when talking to someone. Talking is an outlet!. They call it 'venting!'
