I always find difficulties communicating with people because i tend to hurt someone feelings without even realising it. It's hard. I cant be to blunt nor too honest. People tend to dislike me for being too blunt. I am so confused.

For someone who likes, or thinks they are in love with a person who is in a band. I know half the people (aka girls) are infatuated with the morons in bands just because they're in a band, no matter how funny looking they are. I know it's infatuation, but what do you call it when a person is infatuated with someone in a band, mainly the lead singer? I've just been calling it "Groupie Syndrom", but is there a real term for it, or is it just considered infatuation by most?

Hey there, listen quick question about something. When I'm at work there's this girl that I pass everyday, I always greet her in passing but she never responds and she doesn't even make eye contact. I'm as nice as I can be without being creepy. It kind of erks me a little because I really try to reach out to people to be kind and I have an outgoing personality. I notice when i pass her she will twitch her eyes in my direction but it's like she straining not to make eye contact with me. also in the elevator she will just look straight ahead or down at the ground. normally in the elevator I make eye contact with people, but not to a point to where it's uncomfortable...I was tryin to carry a conversation on with someone in the elevator and the guy i was talkin to started to sweat profusely....I was like WTF?

If a country is attacked, fighting back will result in more casualties for both parties. If the country does not retaliate, but utilizes its efforts to defend its citizens by providing them with security instead, think about what a much better world this would be.

Today i was shopping. The lady in front of me in the checkout line was in her 70s. she was having a hard time putting in the numbers of her credit card. 2 young people behind me yelled that old people should go in line were noone else is. I got angrey ,turned around & told them to keep quiet. I guess my age(63) & size (256) scared them because they left the line. I helped the lady with the card and left.

About someone (anyone) who basically I look up to. I was thinking about either doing elvis since he changed music and sort of created rock and roll or someone like elvis, but that's basically just because I can't think of anyone else that wouldn't seem really stupid. I'm open to any suggestons for people. (but please not a lot of political people, I'm just honestly not at all into politics)

This is a question on the exponential growth of ancestors with each passing generation. The issue becomes then that with passing generations, "cross breeding" would most likely occur. Additionally, I assume that there are two or three generations alive at any one moment.

Simple example:

There is a species of frog that shoots poison darts. In order for this to happen, the frog needs 1) poison glands, 2) darts, 3) muscles and nerves that can shoot the dart, 4) brain physiology that can target prey and trigger the attack, and 5) probably a bunch more stuff too. None of these attributes seems to have any evolutionary advantage without the others so how does the theory of evolution/selective generation explain that something like the poison dart shooting mechanism developed slowly from generation to generation?

I'm generally a scientific guy and not overly religious, but the "theory of evolution" never passed my common sense test. I can believe that species adapt to their environment, but I can believe that complex biological mechanisms like the one listed above can gradually develop over many generations.

Thoughts? ( no religious rants or long Bible quotes please)
