But what does being homeless have to do with wanting to get smashed real fast? Doesn't everyone like getting drunk?

You ask that question with some degree of certainty that malt liquor is the only thing hobos enjoy. I would imagine a hobo does not have room to be picky - instead they opt for whatever liquor is most accessible, cheapest, and most filling.

Lots of hobos have substance abuse problems, hence that's why there on the streets. Malt liquor is cheap and contains more alcohol than regular beer or wine. More bang for the buck as they say.

out here in these parts our hobos are wino's does that mean we have higher classed hobo's?

2. When you have no home, steady income, or food, what reason is there to be sober at any given time?
