For someone who likes, or thinks they are in love with a person who is in a band. I know half the people (aka girls) are infatuated with the morons in bands just because they're in a band, no matter how funny looking they are. I know it's infatuation, but what do you call it when a person is infatuated with someone in a band, mainly the lead singer? I've just been calling it "Groupie Syndrom", but is there a real term for it, or is it just considered infatuation by most?

Well, I think there are at least to concepts involved in your question. One of them could be infatuation or limerence (the technical name) where there are several symptoms similar "to be in love" but it's not love, nor sexual attraction. The other concept refers to the "person" you think you are in love, it could be a lead singer, an actor or even your professor at college. So this is not restrictive to bands, and what you mention is a particular example of a fangirl.
