Today i was shopping. The lady in front of me in the checkout line was in her 70s. she was having a hard time putting in the numbers of her credit card. 2 young people behind me yelled that old people should go in line were noone else is. I got angrey ,turned around & told them to keep quiet. I guess my age(63) & size (256) scared them because they left the line. I helped the lady with the card and left.

Because our hearts are "desperatley wicked." It's not human nature to be nice. It's in our nature to be selfish and self-loving, where Chirst would like us to be others-focused. Only He can change our hearts to not be wicked, you know.

I am sorry but sometimes I find older people to be a lot ruder than younger people. I work retail currently while attending a university and usually the older people are much much ruder. And I know there are a lot of rude younger people. I don't think age or size or anything like that has to do with it. People in genral are just turning into a s s h o l e s! The young, the old, the fat, the skinny, everybody. People need to learn how to respect EVERYBODY and treat people the way you would like to be treated...

Bless You! I'm not 63 or size 256, but I would have done the same thing. I cannot stand for someone to disrespect an elderly person. If we all live long enough, we will all be in some type of uncomfortable situation someday.

Some people have no experience in life, they believe all people should be like them. These people are not bad, they just need to learn more in life.
I always say that all people can be nice if they need something from you. Everybody loves you once you can offer something. The key is whether you can can something from these people(I am not talking money or help). But anything that can change our life in some way.
these two young people do not know that they will get older one day. They don't know they might be in a worse condition in their life where they will, indeed, need others' help.
Never be rude to people, even to the people who are rude to you.
Be kind to the unkind, they need it most.

I'm sorry to hear that. Young people today, I don't know. I'm having a hard time understanding them myself. It's like they get stupid by the handful anymore. May be to much video games and gadgets spoil them to stupidity or something. I do have a heart. But sometimes the things I see don't seem to make as much sense anymore.

People are not kind in todays time because they want to be comfortable and complete their work fast so they do not care about OLD, NEEDY AND POOR and think of them self. It was not your size that scared them but they thought that you were rude to them but i think you were right because you help the needy so god may bless you.

People just don't have patience ,respect for one another anymore.And that is really sad!But it's a good thing that there are people like you left in this world to override those people full of arrogance, and disrespect.

But really, aren't peope of all ages inconsiderate when they are in a queue? shouldn't they be ready with these types of money changing transactions? They must know there are people waiting behind them.
