Zoology - December 2007

I am at work and my window is level with the top of a palm tree right outside my window. There is this large bird - either a crow or a raven (can't tell the difference) I think - and he is hovering/trying to land on the section of the tree below the fronds (where it looks like the base of many fronds that aren't growing). I finally noticed that he is picking into the tree and eating something in there. What is in there? Bugs? Worms? It can't be small birds because I would see it hanging out of his mouth.

but I thought a mule was the cross between a male horse and a female pony. And what is the difference between a pony and a donkey? And how come its not bad to say *** when you are talking about mules, but if you are talking about rear ends it is not good to say and your teacher could send you to the principals office? And would you get in more trouble if you said the "a" word with a "hole" at the end or if you saud the "f" word" and why?

Last night I was driving home and like 6 adults racoons were crawling out of a drainange hole on a busy street in my samll OR city. Their habitat has been destroyed as this entire area was brush and trees etc and it has been bull dozed down and they are rapidly building condos etc. What can i do to help them "Move" to another location, I am sure they are freaked out and have lost their entire "place to live" They were about to run across our new road that is now very very busy. Is there a way to help them "move further out into the surrounding country side before they get hit by cars :( A huge animal lover who went back, it was after dark and threw all my fruit etc. out so they wouldn't cross the road. I know very little about racoons, except to stay away as they can be dangerous. thanks for kind advice

I have the fear and it is ruining my life. I know spiders are harmless little creatures, they play their part in life by helping out with the fly problem, and I don't hate them. This is a serious question guys...I don't want to go under hypnotism but I will if there is no other way.
Any ideas how I can conquer the fear?
